Equalizer Hitch Recommendation for Travel Trailer that Weighs 3,500 lbs Dry

Question:

Im buying a new travel trailer. It has a dry weight of 3500# and GVWR of #5000. It is a two axle ultralight. This hitch is very popular and looks like what I want. I like the no drill aspect and the high ground clearance. My question is will this hitch be too stiff for my light trailer? I will likely not load it to max GWVR.

Most likely the part # EQ37060ET that you referenced would be exactly what you would need. As long as your tongue weight is under 600 lbs this system would work great for you.

Typically tongue weight is 10-15 percent of the total weight of a trailer so most likely this system would be perfect for you.
