Will Trailer Wiring harness 56083 Fit a 2013 Lexus RX 350 without Factory Tow Package
Question:
I have a 2013 rx350 I plug in the curt wiring harness but have no power to trailer lights. Dealer said it didnt come with tow package and would require a harness up front to get power back to the hitch wire. I read that all that might be needed is a 30 amp fuse. Any help would be appreciated.

Curt trailer wiring harness # 56083 is designed to fit a 2013 Lexus RX 350 that came with the factory tow package. The dealer is likely correct, additional parts could possibly be needed to activate the tow package wiring. You could try to place a fuse and that may be all it needs. Its certainly worth trying. All you have to do is check the fuse panel lids (there is usually one in the cab of the vehicle and another under the hood or possibly in the cargo area of the vehicle) for the tow package fuse locations and give it a shot.
