Solution for Setting a Truck Back to Stock Tune When Vehicle Came with Programmer Installed
Question:
Hi. I just installed the edge evolution cs3 in my 2013 gmc 2500 with a 6 liter v8. When I try to program anything into the truck, it downloads my stock settings and then gives a message that says the stock settings are not right and there was a different manufacture programmer in at some point. It tells me to reset the stock settings with the other programmer but the truck was bought used and I have no knowledge of what was in it. Is there any way around this? Thanks

If you take your truck to a GM dealer and explain to them the situation they will be able to reflash your truck computer back to the stock tune.
The other option would be to track down the original owner of your truck to see if you can have them reprogram the truck back to stock with whatever programmer they used.
