Keep Blowing Trailer Tires, Will Going to Larger Size Prevent Blowouts
Question:
Can I replace 16inch x6 x 5-1/2 tires and wheels on 15inch x 6 x 5 - 1/2 to the larger tires and wheels? I keeping blowing out tires.

You could potentially go to a larger tire/wheel combo as long as there is space all around the existing tires for the larger size. I would need to know the tire size you are using now to determine the next step up and the differences in sizes.
Trailer tires fail because of heat and/or overloading usually. Trailer tires should always be inflated to the maximum psi indicated on the tire. This is because trailer tires are built with a thicker sidewall than passenger vehicle tires to handle more vertical load. If under inflated the thicker sidewall generates excessive heat and can lead to failure.
Overloading also stress the tires and produces extra heat.
