Recommended 2-Bike Hitch Rack for 2014 Ford Fusion SE
Question:
I have a Ford Fusion SE 2014 and am looking for a good sturdy rack that will accommodate 2 trail hybrid bikes...

Some vehicles are not recommended for use with a trunk-mount bike rack because of the weight load it will place on the trunk and trunk hinge when loaded with bikes. The 2014 Ford Fusion SE is among those vehicles that are best able to transport bikes by installing a trailer hitch on them and using a hitch-mount rack instead.
The hitch I suggest is the highest capacity one we offer for your Fusion SE, Curt Class II hitch # C12091. I have linked an installation video showing this hitch on a 2013 Fusion (part of the same generation as your 2014 model year) as well as an article with hitch installation tips. You will want to check your owner's manual for the Fusion's tongue weight (TW) rating to ensure it can handle the weight of your preferred carrier and your 2 bikes.
With this Class II hitch installed you can use one of the compatible Class II bike racks shown on the linked page. You can choose between platform- and hanging-style racks from many brands like Thule, Yakima and Swagman. Filters on the page allow you to narrow the results based on design features you prefer such as included locks.
You can refer to the linked articles on bike racks to help you decide on your preferred style.
