When Using Two Sets Of CE Smith Roller Bunks For Boat Trailers Is Weight Capacity Increased

My boat weighs about 2000lb. with the outboard. I would need 2 pair as I have 4 bunks each 4 ft. in length. By using 4 actual sets of rollers will this allow for the increased the weight from 1500lb.?

Expert Reply:
I called my contact at CE Smith about the Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers, part # CE27700.
They said since you are planning on using 4 bunks instead of 2, the rollers would have no problem with the additional 500 lbs as you described, as long as the weight is distributed evenly on the roller bunks.
These roller bunks can be attached to wooden bunks or you may want to use swivel brackets like part # CE10003G-4.
If you need U-bolts I recommend part # CE15283GA-4 for 4 U-bolts. For 4 bunks you will need 2 sets of the 4 U-bolts.
