Gooseneck To Fifth Wheel Adapter For 2003 Freightliner Sportchassis With Gooseneck Ball Plate

Question:

I have a 03 freightliner sportchassis with a gooseneck ball already mounted to the plate. I now have 5th wheel camper I would like to pull with it the bolt hole pattern I have is 15x20 7/8. Do you have any hitches to fit that pattern. The trailer weighs roughly 18500-20000lbs. I dont want to drill any more holes. Scared it might weaken the plate probably wouldnt but it was installed by the factory.

From the description you gave it sounds like the gooseneck ball is attached to the plate installed on the bed of your Freightliner.

I recommend the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter, part # AM3100. This attaches to any standard 2-5/16 inch gooseneck ball and allows you to be able to tow a fifth-wheel trailer with the gooseneck hitch.

This adapter has a 24,000 lb towing capacity and a 6,000 lb tongue weight capacity. This adapter requires no drilling into the plate you said is installed on your truck.
