Can Exhaust Interfere with Trailer Hitch Installs
Question:
Is bending the exhaust support nubs down about 3/8inch in video required? Other installation videos do not include this consideration. And could you explain why this step is recommended. I have a Curt hitch and am getting ready to install. Thanks for your feedback

Expert Reply:
For some hitch installs it is required to modify how the exhaust hangs so that it doesn't interfere with the hitch. Either so that the two can be installed together or so that the exhaust doesn't rattle against the hitch. I attached a couple help articles that cover how this would be addressed.
Most likely you wouldn't have to make these modifications.
