Best Location For Mounting Light Brackets On Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier
Question:
Ive seen this question answered for C18153 per the link below and I guess it pretty much applies to the carrier I have C18151. I do have a couple of questions. Does light mounting bracket BK70BB fit between the rails of carrier basket? Or would you put it on the sides sort of vertical? Do you have any pictures of where some of your customers might of installed on these carriers? thanks,

Unfortunately, we do not have any photos of the # BK70BB installed on a cargo basket.
It can be installed vertically or horizontally, depending on the item it is being mounted to. I do recommend mounting it so that the wires for a connector at the back of the light are safe and not in danger of being damaged. My recommendation is to mount it to the underside of the top rail on the carrier. This does give it some protection.
I recommend the light kit, part # 98174LED. This kit includes 12-LED oval lights with rubber grommets and wiring for both sides of the cargo basket. I have attached a product review video of this kit you can take a look at.
To purchase the lights individually the rubber grommet needed for the brackets are part # a70gb. These grommets are designed for 6-1/2 inch oval trailer lights.
The lights I recommend for this bracket are part # ST70RB. This light uses 1 incandescent bulb and is a 3-function light for stop, turn, and tail lights. For LED lights I recommend part # STL22RB.
For a straight 3-way wiring pigtail to hook up the lights I recommend part # A45PB. For a right angle pigtail you can use part # A47PB.
