Adjusting the Prodigy P2, item # 90885, starts with proper installation of the unit. Install the unit level on a side to side axis, in the direction of normal vehicle travel . Next, connect the trailer and, with the engine running, hold the manual brake knob full left (on) and set the power to 6.0. Now, drive about 25 mph in a safe area and apply the manual knob. If the brakes lock up, the power should be turned down, and if they do not, the power should be turned up. Repeat until the trailer brakes are close to but do not lock up. Now check the braking with the brake pedal and adjust as necessary. Your trailer brakes are now set up and ready to go until the trailer load changes or you tow a different trailer.
The P2 carries a limited lifetime warranty.
I have linked the instructions for your reference. If you have any trouble getting the controller set up just let me know.
