Ways to Increase Bed Rail Clearance When Towing Fifth Wheel Trailer

i have a 1621 currently and need a few more inches in height. Will this pin box give me more clearence for my bed rails?Thanks

The Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC158778 that you referenced will work as a replacement for your Lippert 1621 pin box. It will have the same dimensions and mounting holes as your current pin box though so in general it would not give you more clearance. Typically pin boxes can be adjusted up or down in relation to the chassis they are installed on so you may be able to adjust your current one down a hole or two to give you more clearance.
Otherwise, fifth wheel hitches have adjustable height heads as well. For example the # RP30928 can be adjusted from 14" - 18" inches in height.
Typically you want between 4 and 6 inches of clearance between the bed rails and the overhang of the trailer....but you also need the trailer to ride as level as possible. So finding the perfect balance of bed rail clearance and ride levelness can be a bit tricky on some setups.
