Will Thule Aluminum Shank Adapter, # 853-7292, fit onThule Hitching Post 985 on 2010 Lexus RX450h

Can this adapter be used with my Hitching Post 985 rack?

I checked with Thule, and on the Thule Replacement Aluminum Shank Adapter - 1-1/4 inches to 2 inch, # 853-7292, it will not work on the Thule Hitching Post 985. The adapter has a threaded hole that lines up on the newer racks (TH912, TH914, TH954) and a screw is threaded in to hold it to the bike rack. Also the hole for the hitch pin does not line up. All of the New Thule Hitch Bike Racks come with an adapter that allows fitment on either 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch receiver.
If you have a standard hitch pin we have a Brophy Hitch Adapter 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver, # HT02, it is rated for 300 lbs. tongue weight. I will send you a link to a review on that adapter.
