From my research of the owner's manual for your 2007 Honda CR-V it is stated that the vehicle must be towed with all 4 wheels on the ground to avoid damage to the 4WD transmission. I do have other options for towing your CR-V.
I recommend flat-towing your Honda behind your motorhome. For flat-towing there are 5 items that are needed. You will need base plates for the CR-V, a tow bar, safety cables, lights for the towed vehicle, and most states now require a supplemental brake system.
The base plates I recommend for your CR-V are part # RM-521559-4. These attach to the vehicle frame and the visible part of the brackets can be removed when you are not towing.
The tow bar I recommend is the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, part # RM-520. This tow bar has telescoping arms that adjust independently to make it easier to connect. The arms also double as shock absorbers to reduce wear and tear on your tow bar.
For safety cables I recommend part # RM-643. These coiled cables have spring-loaded hook on one end and a quick-link on the other and are vinyl-coated to help prevent chipping and scratching of the tow bar.
The lighting I recommend for your CR-V is the Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring, part # 154-792-118158. This connects your Honda lighting system to the RV system so that you have brakes lights and turn signals.
You will also need a fuse bypass like part # RM76511. This bypass lets you get your CR-V ready to tow by simply flipping a switch, and eliminates the need to remove the fuse and replace it every time you flat-tow.
Finally, you will need a supplemental brake system like part # RM-9400. It will apply the CR-V brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the easiest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles. You will also need a 12 volt outlet kit # RM-9332.
Be sure to consult your CR-V owners manual for specific information on flat towing the vehicle.
