Recommended Trailer Hitch For 1989 Ford Motorhome On An E-350 Chassis
Question:
I am looking for a hitch for my motorhome. It is a 1989 Ford E350 Chassis. The motorhome is a Coachman Leprechaun 27. Already has a hitch but only 3500 lb. rated and no WD hitch allowed. Looking for something rated 600/6,000 area. Hopefully a ready fit/bolt on. Thanks

For your 1989 Ford E-350 van I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 14053.
This is a Class lV trailer hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening. This hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight of 10,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 1,000 lbs. This is a bolt-on installation and no welding is required.
The 6,000 lb hitches we offer for the Ford van are not designed to fit the E-350 chassis.
When you are planning on towing you will need to make sure you do not exceed the lowest rated component, whether it is the hitch, the vehicle, or any of the other components in the towing setup.
