How to Find Correct Replacement Bearings for 2003 Roadmaster Enclosed Utility Trailer
Question:
I have a 2003 Roadmaster 6 x 10 enclosed utility trailer. Havent done any maintenance on it since 2009 havent had any problems. Im going cross country and want to either change the bearings and or hubs because its probably time. Any advice? and how do I tell what hub and or bearings I need. Thanks a lot.

It is a good idea to go through your trailer's hubs and bearings to make sure everything is in good shape before your cross-country trip. The easiest way to find the correct replacement bearings, races and seals is to use the part numbers from the original parts that are on the trailer now. Please refer to the linked photo that shows the typical location and appearance of these part numbers.
We offer many popular combinations of bearings, races and seals as kits, but the individual parts are also available if we don't have a complete kit with the correct parts for your trailer. The linked page will allow you to choose your bearings by part numbers if you can find them, or you can take precise measurements of the spindle (at the points noted in the photo) and then find bearings that fit those spindle dimensions. You can choose a complete hub kit like the # 84655UC1-EZ that you referenced if you want new hubs too. You'll need to match your bolt pattern, axle weight rating and bearing set to install new hubs.
Let's say you need a bearing kit for a 3500-lb axle that uses inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649. For this combination we offer kit # BK2-100 that includes one inner bearing and race, one outer bearing and race, grease seal, cotter pin and tang washer.
We offer bearing grease # L54FR and a packing tool # L70025 to simplify packing your new bearings. A helpful article and video are linked for reference.
