1,200 lb Tongue Weight Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System Recommendation
Question:
I have a brand new weight distributing hitch that I have had sitting in the garage for a few years and when I just pulled it out to finally use it I realized that I have 800lb bars and need 1200lb bars, they are the tapered trunnion style and I plan on getting a reese dual cam sway setup as well. How do I know if I have the old or new style head? Are there measurements that I can check on the bars or the head? I cant seem to find any numbers on it and the bars have 22210 cast into them. Thanks,

By the time you piece together your new spring bars # RP66009 and a dual cam sway control kit # RP26002 you would be better off just replacing the entire system with a Strait-Line System part # RP66074.
You will need to use the shank you currently have.
This will allow you to sell your current setup to offset the difference instead of leaving you with extra parts that wouldn't do you any good.
