Will Adding a Vehicle Suspension System Lift my 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan When Carrying Cargo

Question:

I am considering to buy and install the rubber enhancements for a 2012 Grand Caravan however I would like to know if these will raise my van when unloaded or just will help to raise it when Towing. I am just carring a wheel chair lift 400 lbs aprox and brings my van close to the ground but will like to maintain the factory appearance when empty.

The Timbren suspension # TDVRRT you referenced will help with vehicle sag and it won't change the ride height even when your Caravan is empty, In addition, it will improve your suspension, handling and ride quality, but you still shouldn't exceed your Caravan's weight carrying capacity. Even if you have a Class-III hitch like # 13364, you are still limited to the maximum tongue weight capacity of your Caravan.

Based on my research I could find, your Caravan has a tongue weight between 300-360 pounds and per the Owners Manual tongue weight is considered as part of the combined weight of occupants and cargo. I recommend viewing your manual to double-check tongue weight capacity and make sure you are not exceeding the capacity.

I included an informative article about determining tongue weight and an installation video for you too.
