Do Adjustments Need to be Made to Weight Distribution System if Truck Rides Too High in the Front
Question:
Is it possible to have the WD bars to tight? The front end of my truck is too high and is loose on the highway. Would raising the ball help?

If you are using a weight distribution system like the Reese Steadi-Flex, part # RP66558, and the front end of your truck is too high, it sounds like you may be using a system that isn't rated high enough for the tongue weight of your trailer.
I recommend that you start by determining the tongue weight of your trailer (I am including an article on this) and compare this to the weight rating of the system. If the tongue weight exceeds the rating, I would try removing some of your cargo or at least try redistributing it to get the weight where it needs to be. If this is still not enough to correct the issue, I would look into replacing the current spring bars with a higher capacity bar.
This type of system really doesn't allow for bar adjustments so redistributing the weight is your best option.
The only way that I would recommend that you raise the ball height is if your trailer is not riding level.
If you have a different type of weight distribution system please feel free to send me that information and I would be happy to provide troubleshooting suggestions.
