Recommended Suspension Air Bags for a 2008 Chevy Avalanche with Factory Auto-Leveling Option
Question:
I have a 2008 Avalanche LTZ with factory auto-leveling option, I want airbags for extra weight support/control but I see that the Firestone ride rite airbag system is built for leaf spring vehicles. I also noticed that the Firestone coil-rite system says it cannot be used for vehicles with a factory auto-leveling option. What options do I have to be able to support heavier loads when towing. Im afraid that when I tow my rock crawler around I will damage the factory air ride/auto leveling factory installed option. My truck is also my daily driver so I dont want to do anything that will sacrifice the daily driveability of my avalanche. Thanks!

What I recommend is going with the Timbren vehicle suspension # TGMRYS4 (2WD or 4WD)because the hollow rubber springs sit above the axle and they are easy to install. It will also be compatible with your auto-leveling system. Also, the Timbren suspension will offer progressive resistance, meaning they won't change the ride until you load up weight.
The weight capacity is 6,000 pounds but don't exceed your Chevy Avalanche's weight carrying capacity.
Keep in mind that adding any suspension enhancement product won't increase the load bearing capacity of your 2008 Chevy Avalanche.
I included a helpful article about Timbren suspension enhancement systems and installation video for you as well.
