The E-Track Plastic End Cap, # ET8730, measures 5-1/4" long x 3/4" tall x 1/2" deep. I have included a picture to illustrate these measurements.

If attaching the E-track or E-Track end caps #ET8730 to a surface you would just use the appropriate hardware (screws are fine) for that surface material. Bolting them on is not required but if you wanted to use nuts and bolts you could.
