Are the LEDs of the Optronics Light # STL8RB Attached to the Lens or the Housing
Question:
Hello I am restoring a 1973 Hunter Compact 2 and always get my stuff from you guys...I was wondering how these lights come apart? does the lenses come off and the electronics remain inside? or are the LEDs and board attached to lense? I want to use them in the original housing on my Hunter and was hoping to just take them apart and place them in original housing..the size seems to be all pretty standard...basically can I pull these apart and place them inside another housing?..and if these will not do you have something else you may think will? I will attach a photo of the housings on the Hunter. Thank you

The lens of the LED Submersible Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light # STL8RB that you referenced is held on with 4 screws around the outside of the housing. The LEDs on the inside of the light are not attached to the lens. They are attached to the housing.
Since the light isn't designed for that type of modification it would be hard for me to safely recommend you do that. An easier option might be to install the # 763560 as this is a capsule designed to replace the light assembly of a taillight. Only thing is it's not an LED.
