Problem Replacing Diversi-Tech Stainless Double Ball # DTBM28 on Diversi-Tech DTSTBM Ball Mounts

just rcvd new tube then ran set screw all the way in and old tube wont budge what is best method to remove the old tube??

The Diversi-Tech Replacement Stainless Double Ball # DTBM28 that you purchased from etrailer will fit several of their ball mounts. For applications with the Solid-Tow Series the correct procedure which you followed is to tighten the set screw all the way in so that the ball can be removed. In other applications it is okay, according to my technical contact at Diversi-Tech, to back the screw out instead. In either case you need to get it out of the way in order to remove the balls.
If the screw is out and the ball won't come free you can try giving it a tap with a hammer. My contact indicated that sometimes oxidation between the mating metal surfaces can cause them to stick together, and a light tap with a hammer often does the trick.
