This wiring harness worked perfectly on our 2016 Dodge Caravan. The installation video provided everything we needed to know for an easy install.

Ford Flex

SO PLEASED WITH THIS PRODUCT!!!!! I was a little apprehensive at first, since my van was new. After reading descriptions and reviews of other brands, I chose this one. I laid out everything, read and re-read the instructions, just to make sure. Installation was very easy! Dodge Caravans have cabin vents in the fender wells so you can run the wires through, to have the wires be protected and hidden. I did add some half-inch flex tubing for the underside wiring runs, for more protection, and some zip strips to hold it in place. Installing the yellow wire with the fuse holder went pretty easy too! This kit had enough slack to do the job right! After everything was in place, and the tail lights put back on, tested it and everything worked! Recently I replaced my trailer lights, from bulbs to LED's, and that also turned out great! Very bright too! Since the install last year, I have not ceased in telling everyone I know to go to ETrailer!!! Thanks!!!

Trailer Wiring on 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan Not Working After Connecting to Miswired Trailer
I am assuming that you also checked the fuse for the trailer wiring harness (if it is one that requires power from the battery). If not be sure to check that one on your 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. If the power wire fuse is still good, then what likely happened is the short was bad enough to blow the converter box. That means it did exactly what it was supposed to do; it took the hit to protect the vehicle. A noble death indeed. To test the converter, you can use a circuit tester such as # PTW2992 or a meter if you have one. Have someone sit in the van to operate the lights while you test the 4-Way end of the wiring harness. If there is no power on some or any of the circuits, then the converter is bad and the whole wiring harness will need to be replaced with a new one such as # C56331. The good news is that if the power wire and fuse are still good you can reuse them for the new install.

Drivers Side Tail Light Fuse Blows Again on Chrysler Town and Country with Curt Wiring Harness
The chance of receiving two faulty converter boxes is very low and we have not had any recurring complaints on trailer wiring harnesses for the Chrysler Town and Country or Dodge Grand Caravan minivans. A blown tail light fuse could indicate that the converter box has shorted out allowing power to back feed onto the tail light circuit. The main causes that we find for faulty converter boxes are short circuits on the trailer, excessive power draw, and faulty installations. Before installing another wiring harness, I recommend looking for a short circuit. This is usually a broken, frayed or pinched wire that may be coming in contact with the trailer frame or another circuit. Start at the trailer connector and follow the wires back to the tail lights and marker lights and pay attention to areas where the wire passes through something or has a splice. I would also inspect the trailer connector and splices for signs of corrosion. I doubt excessive power draw is a problem your small utility trailer. This issue usually arises when trailers have too many tail lights and clearance lights. Also, a loose ground should not cause a fuse to blow. It would merely act like an open circuit rather than a short which would just cause the trailer lights to stop working properly. If everything on the trailer checks out, I would look at the installation of the harness. Check the wires to make sure they were not routed in a way that they could rub against a sharp edge or be pinched. If the converter box was not secured and is hanging or moving freely, the internal connections could come loose as it moves around while you drive. They come with double-sided tape, but I like to zip tie it to a solid structure to make sure it cannot move.

Solid enough, seems to only be able to slide through one way. I put it in the other way for a cleaner look but now it doesn't hold as well. I had to put a small bead of silicone to hold it in place.

Honda Pilot

This is a handy little bracket for mounting the 4-Pole Flat connector. The Honda Pilot I am working on didn't have a good flat surface to mount to, so I cut a slot in the bracket and mounted it to the hitch. I think a factory slot would be a good improvement to this item

Works perfect, no more wires hanging down and possibly getting damaged by the pavement. Easy install and tight fitting. Didn't require additional hardware of any kind.

Ordered hitch receiver with wiring for bike rack installation on 2019 Ford Explorer. Everything arrived in less than a week. Crawled under the car with my burly son and finished the installation in about an hour. Toughest part was getting the exhaust hangers off. Didn't have a tool for that. Online installation video was a big help. Hitch frame rubs against right side exhaust hanger, hence the four star rating instead of five. Exhaust still appears to be level and no weird noises, so not an issue. Get the little plug in light tester. It's worth it, then keep it in the glove box. Haven't purchased bike rack yet, but no concerns about the hitch.

Is Dielectric Grease Good For Protecting My 4-Pin Trailer Connector?
Yes, dielectric grease like the Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 can and should absolutely be used on electrical connectors like your 4-pin trailer connector. Dielectric grease does a great job of protecting your equipment from corrosion caused by water damage, which is the most common cause of corrosion. To apply this to your connector, you'll just need to apply a healthy amount to your connector, re-applying periodically. You can also use the Curt Trailer and Vehicle 4-Pole Flat Cover Set # C58761 as well which will keep your 4-way covered when not in use to further add protection. I've attached a video where one of our techs will run you through how you should apply this grease to your connector for you to check out as well.

Troubleshooting a Tent Trailer with Lights That Are Not Working When Hitched to the Tow Vehicle
If your trailer lights are working while unhitched and then not working after hitching up then you almost certainly have a ground issue. It is probably a matter of how the wires are sitting hitched versus unhitched. Check your grounds to make sure they are attached to a clean, bare metal surface and free of any paint, dirt or corrosion. It is also possible that the problem is a bare wire touching the frame somewhere on your trailer. You would want to check your wiring thoroughly to make sure there are no broken wires. Using a circuit tester # PTW2993 can help you narrow down where to search for a broken wires if it comes to that. You can test the wires behind the trailer connector and trace back towards the back of the trailer watching for the loss of power.

Package had hitch protruding out of cardboard. The wiring harness wire for the right side were short and I had to splice 3 wires to those that were short. The plug adapter was cheaply made. [online] guy said hitch could be installed with a floor jack. I would like to see him try it. Hitch appears to be of good quaility.

Came with beat up box. I already expected the hitch will be damaged, but it was worst than my expectation. It looks like the hitch was previously returned item, so it is not a new item and somebody put an effort painting the hitch to make it look like brand new, but the paint was not even and oversprayed. I did not bother opening the other box because I am already disappointed. I am returning the hitch including the accessories for the hitch.

It looks like you have purchased the mounting bracket for a 5-Way flat, # tr20046, when you got the wiring harness. The no-drill brackets, # C57202 or # 18140, will attach to the bracket that you recently purchased. You will not need any additional brackets. I have included a link to a video that, in part, shows the tr20046 bracket being installed.

2018 Dodge Grand Caravan

tl;dr good experience with warts. The etrailer-branded ball mount kit I ordered was back-ordered for a month, which was fine. Eventually Ashley E told me it would be a _second_ month. Not fine. She helped me configure a new order of third party parts. Shipped in one day. Great! Not great: Parts were just thrown in a box with no protection. UPS did their usual thing. Paint was chipped in a couple of places; would surely rust. I'll shoot these spots with some spray paint before installation. Hope that's a fix. I can't afford to diddle with a return.

2013 Toyota Venza Recommended Ball Mount for Towing a Camper
I am happy to help you find the right hitch for your specific towing needs. I recommend the # AMSC6 Cushioned Ball Mount. This fits a 2 inch hitch receiver and will give you the 4.75 inch rise you need to meet your 18 inch coupler. In the rise position, this hitch has 4 inches of clearance between the back of the mount and the hitch pin hole so you will want to make sure that (will) fit your installed hitch receiver. I (have) attached a video for you to reference and see these dimensions. This particular mount is also helpful because it is cushioned to help prevent wear and tear on your Toyota and the camper when towing. Be sure to get the # 40038 ball if you do not already have a 2 inch ball, and I suggest the # 118482 if you still need a wiring harness. I also recommend the # e98880 locking hitch pin to help prevent theft of your camper or any other trailers you may be towing.

Cool to follow up on your product. The multi-ball works as it should. I bought it since I didn't know if the trailer I would get would be 2" or 2 1/4. I tow a 4,000 # trailer/race car with it. It's a heavy piece to carry around, but I feel that it will last a good many years. I did make a spacer to cram into the receiver, so the hitch doesn't rattle as much. Otherwise it's great..

Can a Padlock be Placed on the End of Standard Trailer Hitch Pin # C21500
The hole in the hitch pin # C21500 or any other standard hitch pin with clip is not large enough for a useful padlock. It would take a very small lock that could be defeated easily. That is why for a more secure option we carry locking hitch pins. The most popular locking hitch pin for a 2 inch trailer hitch (5/8 inch diameter) is # e98880. I have included a link to a video review of this locking hitch pin for you to view. I have also included a link to the other locking hitch pins we carry for 2 inch hitches.

Class 5 Hitch with 20K Capacity for 2015 Ford F-550
Sure do, as long as the distance between the outer edges of the frame members is 34 inches and the vertical distance between the bottom of the frame members and the underside of the bumper is less than 6 inches, the Curt # C15845 Class V hitch is what you'd need. The hitch has a 20K towing/2700 lb tongue weight capacity and features a 2-1/2 inch receiver tube. If you need a greater drop than that, you'll need to use a weld-on service body hitch like # C87CR which also features a 2-1/2 inch receiver and a 20K capacity.
