Installation
1. Spread the chain around the back of the tire.
2. Connect the yellow and blue cable at the back of the tire.
3. Push the cable into place behind the tire and center the cross chains on the tire's tread. Then, on the front side of the tire, join the 2 ends of the yellow side chain using the green hook.
4. Feed the silver draw chain with the rubber tensioner through the red channel at the bottom and pull it tight. Then run the tensioner through the red rings. (Note: Depending on your tire size, you might not be able to thread through both rings.) Pull the tensioner across the tire and fasten it to the yellow chain on the opposite side.
5. Pull your vehicle forward and retighten the chain.
Class "S" Designation

These square-link, diamond-pattern tire chains provide excellent traction in snow and ice for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. Made of a durable and corrosion-resistant manganese nickel alloy with built-in tensioners to ease installation.I got these as a precaution because I was going to ski in Utah and Colorado with my F-350 4WD truck. Boy did it turn out that I needed them. I've never owned tire chains before but these were easy to install and remove and very effective! The carrying case is very convenient as well. I got a set of four chains (two pairs)and in four wheel drive my truck moved through the snow like a tank. Good product. (And I don't bother to write many reviews)
Chain tire set was received several days before the date indicated in the order. My tire size 275/65-20 was not listed on the label of the TC2335 chain set received, even though it was indicated to be good for my tire size by Etrailer. I test fitted the chains in accordance with the etrailer video and it fit just fine as you can see in the attached photo. These chains should do well for our National Park trip in a few months.
Bought these for my 2023 SuperDuty with LT275/65 20 tires based on etrailer's advice and reviews. After checking fitment I bought another set. NOTE: If buying for a SuperDuty they get pretty close to the front brake lines when at the steering stops. For highway use it shouldn't be a problem.
These are light duty chains and just for emergency use for me, hope to never use them. If you are going to do a lot of snow I would recommend something more heavy duty.
Last thought, get them as tight as you can when installing and adjust the bungee cord after a short distance. When attaching the yellow chain (part of the tensioning) to the green fitting try to bypass as many links as possible, don't use the end link.
Don't know why Ford thinks I shouldn't be able to use chains when towing a 10,000 lb trailer over the Siskiyous in winter but good luck in you journeys!
These tire chains work very well on my 2019 Ford F-250. They were very easy to install and remove, provide excellent traction in snow or on ice, and come in a nice carrying case. In addition to the built-in tensioner, I also added a rubber loop-type tension to keep them tight. The only problem I encountered was during the 2021 winter storm in Texas. I think I was the only person in the Austin area with tire chains, and while I was in a grocery store someone stole both chains from my front tires (luckily, they left them on the rear tires). The first picture is when I first installed the chains (before the ice and then snow) - the second picture is after several days of driving in the snow and ice (and after the front chains were stolen).
Chains fit perfectly and installed in minutes. Rubber chain adjusters are a great accessory.
Thanks to Kimberly in customer support for getting the right chains and recommending the adjusters.
I'm very happy with the purchase and support from e-trailer and will be purchasing from them again.
I had a difficult time finding chains to fit my tires. I have 275/65 R20 on my F350 but the customer service at trailer was very helpful and quick to find me a set that will work great for highway and small off road stuff. I put them on just to check the fit and they fit great. Easy to install too. Took me less than 10min. Includes un-tangling. Will update if that don’t work the next time I head to the mountain.
Excellent quality, the video instructions helped me fit them in about 10 minutes per axle. Next time will be faster. The storage case is very good. Looking forward to driving in the snow. I drove around for 1/2 mile with no rubbing on a 2020 Sierra 2500HD with LT275/65R20 Goodyears.
Very good quality and easy to install.
Takes forever to get them untangled from the carry case. After that it's a nightmare to get them on the tires because they don't lay straight. Don't buy these chains

So, I looked into the install of these chains and they install like almost all other chains. However, we can get you a different set of chains if you would like.
First time putting chains on... goes on in minutes, make sure chains don't get tangled up before putting them on. Fit my 35x12.5x20 tires!
Did the trick in packed snow and ice on an Oregon pass for about 10 miles at 30-35mph. After 10 miles, one of the rings broke/dislodged that holds a lateral chain to the chain that goes down the center of the tire. this resulted in a loose end smacking the inner wheel well of my truck.
Because of the failure I had to pull over on a shoulder and fix the link with a traffic lane one foot away. I had to lay on the snowpack to keep from being in traffic.
Aside from the single failure, the chains held traction well on a pass that was bad enough that everyone was chained up. Putting them on was easy and taking them off almost as easy.
Test put on the chains and I messed up getting one piece right but after going over everything found my error and got them on no problem. I have a Ram 1500 which has some tight clearances with nreak lines and such and it looks like these chains will miss everything which is great. Can not speak on how they do when using but happy they fit and the ease to put them on.
Purchased for my 2001 7.3L excursion w/35" tires. I've used them 5 or 6 times when my 4wd system was out of service. They are WAY to tight and difficult to get on. I love put them on enough times to know I'm doing it correctly. Traction is ok when you get them on, but being so tight I'm unable to fully secure them, so they do have a tendency to come undone. I may try a different design.
I purchased 2 sets of these chains for my RAM Laramie 2500 Cummins 4x4. I tow a 9000# travel trailer over mountain passes in the winter. I have not had to use them yet but they seem well made, they fit the tires well and were easily installed in the driveway. Not planning to use off road.
So far, so good! The chains fit nice and tight and are pretty easy to get on, once you have the chains laid out with no tangles. I put these on a Ford F-350 with 275/65R/20’s and the chains tightened up nicely. We live in Colorado and I am planning on using these at our property in the mountains that receives some good snow on dirt roads. These will add that extra bite of traction that my truck will need for those adventures.
Plus, eTrailer was so easy to work with and made a point to follow up, once the chains arrived. Great customer service!
Worked great for us in the snowy mountain of Colorado for our elk hunt.
I can't comment on the fit and durability of these chains because I haven't installed them or tested them. I bought them because the law in many states requires you to carry chains during winter storms. I can say the service was great with fast shipping and the case the chains came is is very nice. I have purchased other items from etrailer and have always been happy with the products and service.
Received my first set of tire chains and immediately went out to see if as a newbie, I could get them on my truck. Success! They were well packaged and it wasn't hard at all with the photo directions provided. I can say that I got more than a few strange looks. It's not often, if ever, folks in Southern California see chains on tires. :-)
A little too early to tell for sure, but they seem great. My son & I put them on last night to see how they would fit. The fit and easiness of installation was really great. They are not too heavy or bulky which makes them easy to handle. I can see why they are not rated for off-road. Case is nice. Intuitive install. Good videos from etrailer. So far I am very pleased.
The actual chains on this product are smaller than I was expecting and appear a bit whimpy for the application...but I think that is what you get for the type S (low clearance) chains that my 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty manaul said it needed. Time will tell.
The chains come in a very nice bag to keep them separate and were a breeze to install in the comfort of my garage. I'm expecting them to be almost as easy to install in a blizzard because they are really light weight and simple to get around and on a stationary tire without rolling the vehicle.
I just hope they work to keep me out of the ditch.
I received them very quickly. Of course i tried them on to make sure they fit. They were very easy. Hooked the cable, then the top hook, pulled them around and hooked the bottom and then the rubber fastener. Pulled the truck forward to re tighten and to my surprise, there was not a need to. I haven't used them in snow or ice yet but i am sure they will be fine.
Great buy, chains work as advertised, well built.
These are very functional chains and pretty easy to install. I have Titan snow chains for all my 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive vehicles.
Very happy with the overall quality of these chains. My experience with etrailer was fantastic. The website was extremely easy to use and the customer service chat resulted in immediate answers to my questions. Their communication is also very good. I will definitely shop here again.
Excellent customer service and quick shipping. Tire chains arrived. etrailer was helpful in finding the right fit form my truck as the newer rams have clearance issues

Often the tire chain bags will not list every size that they will fit. Many will have a long list of sizes.
