Go Tankless or Go Home

Tankless Water Heater

Say goodbye to quick, military-style showers, refilling your tank, and waiting for the hot water to recover. This revolutionary design replaces your outdated tank heater and gives you the luxury of taking back-to-back showers, washing dishes, and running a load of laundry all at once. Unlike traditional tank heaters that require constant energy to keep your water hot, this tankless, propane-fueled water heater only uses energy when you turn on your faucet or shower, providing the ultimate efficiency at a campground or off-the-grid. The endless, on-demand hot water has no recovery time and is perfect if you're on the road full-time or traveling with a large group.

Relaxing Showers without Scalding or Freezing

Vortex Pic

Has your warm and relaxing shower ever been interrupted by a cruel burst of ice-cold water? Perhaps you've been the victim of a scorching surge of hot water that scalds you and sends you dancing out of harm's way. Either way, it's the worst, but those days are over. Furrion's vortex technology is designed to eliminate those dreaded hot and cold water fluctuations by consistently mixing hot and cold water together to reach your desired temperature, ensuring those warm, comfortable showers.

Safety First

This state-of-the-art technology is equipped with built-in safety measures to ensure you, your family, and your RV stay out of harm's way.

Its dual temperature sensors automatically shut off power if the water temperature exceeds 149 F, preventing the unit from overheating while also reducing the risk of hot water scalding. The unit also has a flame monitoring feature that cuts off the gas supply if the flame goes out to prevent gas from leaking inside your RV and a built-in safety valve that allows pressure to vent at 87 psi to prevent excess pressure and heat build-up.

Anti-Freeze Control Board

This tankless water heater features a control board to keep itself warm when temperatures drop. Freezing water can damage the unit, so an internal thermostat monitors water temperature and will turn the heat on automatically when it gets too cold. This feature will only work if the water heater is receiving power and gas. You will need to remember to winterize the water heater before storage over the winter.

This unit is amazing, the water become hot in few second. really quiet and easy to install. Be carefull that you have enough water pressure and flow when using with water pump. Open the hot water side and add cold water without reducing the hot side otherwize the unit may shutdown. Instead, lower the unit target temperature and add less cold water. I'm really happy with this unit. Compared to the smaller unit like the Fogatti, this one suit well for cold input water. Fogatti sell their unit showing 2.2 GPM however this is true for input water temperature around 70 deg F, here in Canada our water temperature is more around 30 deg F. I have tested this Furrion unit with a shower and two faucet and I never lack hot water. I really appreciated the fact that three door size is available. I retrofited my Atwood 6gal with this unit using the 16x18 door. Everything worked well. I painted the door and door frame to match as close as possible my RV color.

by:

We went with the Furion unit when we learned that parts were no longer available for our 20 yr. old Fleetwood. No RV repair shops will work on older models these days so I had to do the installation myself.
We are extremely happy with the quality and unlimited supply of hot water which is unheard of with traditional rv hot water tanks.

by:

We have plenty of hot water. As we do a lot of dishes, long showers. Very happy with this product.

by:

will not buy again. lasted 2 trips. copper pipes disintegrated like they were corroded from the factory. do not recommend

by:

When I placed my order I was told there was 1 in stock and my sales rep confirmed with the warehouse that yes there’s 1.
I was notified later that delivery was going to be delayed since “the 1” was sold and we had to wait for the next shipment… it happens but it sucked.
When it arrived the box had a gouge in it. No damage to the unit. Installation was easy. Made a simple grid base to raise the new unit to the height I needed. I previously upgraded my camper with PEX, so a few new fittings and it was up and running. Since purchasing, the unit has operated flawlessly. I won’t go back to a “tank” heater.
ETRAILER.com had a good price and they did deliver in a reasonable amount of time.
Will buy Furrion and will shop etrailer.com

by:

It is nice to hav hot water on demand and not having to worry about running out when you are taking a shower. Don’t have to worry about a water heater tank leaking.

by:

Great water heater! Etrailer did a fantastic job when the first unit I ordered was defective. They got a new one to me in a timely way.

After a year this has been a great water heater. It has a little delay that you have to get used to. The advantages out weigh the adjustment.

by:

Great help and fast delivery! Hard to beat ordering from etrailer.com! Thank you!

by:

Great product and Neil at Etrailer provided excellent service! This company always provides quality products and customer service.

by:

Smaller than the Atwood 6 gallon that it replaced and way more hot water. Not to difficult to install.

by:

Of all the upgrades we have made to out fifth wheel Rv ( grand design reflection) this is by far the best. Installed this tankless water myself in just a couple of hours, in fact it took me longer to determine where I wanted to mount the controller than it took

me to install the water heater. I did have one leak after install but took care of that really easy. I would definitely recommend a tankless water heater especially the furrion. Not familiar with others but this one is excellent.

by:

This thing works awesome!!! Heats up quickly, it's quiet...I really am happy I put this in. Install was easy!

by:

We decided to go tankless when our atwood began leaking. Installing this unit was straight forward, although I did get hung up on the swap from 110 to 12v. After looking at installation docs for the old water heater, I discovered that the propane/electric selector switch in my bathroom branched off of the 12v system, and wired directly into the control system of the old unit. The heating element was the only component actually using 110. I ended up wiring this unit into the propane selector switch. This gives me a quick way to kill power if needed. Other than this hiccup, installation was easy. It is working like charm, and we are enjoying normal shower times again.

by:

The unit was pretty easy to install. It has worked flawlessly for us. It is a joy not to worry about running out of hot water.

by:

Very fast shipping got exactly what I needed and got it installed in 1 day

by:

Works great just take a few minutes longer to get hot water but I don’t run out of hot water now.

by:

Easy installation. Good instructions. Works flawlessly for me.

by:

So glad we added this to our travel trailer! Works great! We're setup in a permanent space, so we get endless showers with this. Well worth the money spent. Thank you!

by:

Quick shipping and one-time. Easy set-up but be careful about freezing temps. Works great.

by:

Fast delivery, great product.

by:

Absolutely amazing! Great instructions, took about 3 hours with a few retrofits for water and gas lines. Well designed in every way and HOT water, BOOM! Love it, L

by:

At this point I have nothing positive to say about this company or their products.

by:

Works flawlessly. Installation was a br eeze.

by:

I have had this unit for a year, it was easy to install and has performed trouble free ever since, thanks for your follow up

by:

Wow, shipped early

  • Foggati Tankless Water Heater Recommendation to Replace Atwood G6A-7 Water Heater
The Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR you referenced is more of their base design, and they have a variety of options available for different opening sizes. Since you have a 16"+ opening I recommend using either part # FR48SR which comes with a 16" x 18" door, or part # FR68SR which comes with an 18" x 18" door. These are the same heater that you were looking at, just with different door sizes.

  • Recommended Replacement Tankless Water Heater For A 1994 Prowler Camper
Most RV water heaters were quite a bit larger than the newer tankless models so you'll be able to swap out your current unit but will likely have to make some modifications to mount the smaller unit in place and cover the gap. The Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB44FR would be a compatible replacement option, but I've dealt with too many issues to with this unit to really recommend it to anyone. Instead I recommend the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR. This is also going...

  • Recommended Water Heater Replacement For A 2012 Keystone Montana Big Sky 5th Wheel
If you still have the original water heater in your 2012 Keystone Montana then the options currently available are going to be a bit smaller so you may have to do a bit of framing in order to mount a new water heater. Luckily, we have a video already made showing how to accomplish this, which I've attached below. As for the replacement, I recommend the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR. The safety valve on the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR48SR you referenced is for water pressure. This water heater has an automatic shut off for an overcurrent event as well but does not have a shut off for an excessive gas pressure.

  • Replacement Water Heater Recommendation for an Atwood GH6-6E
For your application I recommend using a Furrion 60,000 Btu Tankless Water Heater. Since RV water heater manufacturers have changed with the times you will have a bit of work to do to get any new water heater to fit correctly.
