Recommended Tankless Water Heater Replacement For A 2012 Keystone Montana

Question:

Thank you for the quick response. I looked into this some more and I gave you the wrong year. It is actually a 2012 Keystone Montana. Can you take a look and see if any of these parts changed? I am also interested in removing my water heater and going o a tankless one. Can you give me some options on some that would work for my 5th wheel? Thanks so much for your time,

Waste valves aren't really trailer year/make/model specific so the year of your trailer wouldn't be a factor. The only thing that's really important is just ensuring that you're choosing the correct size; 3" for black and 1-1/2" for gray.

As for replacing the water heater, there's no guide out there that will tell us anything in your trailer so while I do recommend switching over to the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR you'll need to measure your current water heater to find the correct size access door.

This unit is 12-5/8" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 19-1/4" deep, so depending on the size of your current unit you may have to frame in the cutout hole to mount the new unit. It doesn't have to be fancy since the access door will cover everything. When mounting the unit and access door you'll need some butyl tape # AL28FJ for the back side of the mounting flanges to prevent leaks through the screw holes. You'll also want to run some non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 around the outer edge of the access door to prevent water from leaking through.

For the access door we have the following sizes:

16" x 16" # FR98SR
16" x 18" # FR48SR
18" x 18" # FR68SR
