Video Transcript for Review of Derale Stainless Steel Hose Clamp Set - D13008

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a really quick look at this set of Derale stainless steel hose clamps. This set is going to give you four of these stainless steel hose clamps that will fit with your hoses that range in inner diameter from 5/16 of an inch to a half inch. And these are gonna be very easy to tighten down. You can use a flathead screwdriver, an eight millimeter, or a 5/16 inch socket wrench, or nut driver to tighten these down so that your hose sits firmly on your hose barb. You're not gonna have to worry about it coming loose.

So 'cause these are a stainless steel construction and you can trust they are gonna hold up well for you, and do a good job making sure that your hose stays on that hose barb, so you don't have to worry about oil leaks and that sort of thing. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Used these, while installing Power Steering and Transmission cooling kits on a 2003 Honda Odyssey. I pulled a 5' x 8' U-Haul trailer from Virginia to Utah. I must say that I am impressed! Had zero issues the entire trip, going up and down hills/mountains with grades of 8%. They are still going strong to this day and have kept all hoses secured.

delivered as ordered, on time. helpful vidio for install on my truck. I would order this product again .product should come with more hose and clamps.

  • Will Derale Remote Dual Oil Filter Mount Kit , # D15707, Fit on 1999 Lexus RX300
On the Derale Remote Dual Oil Filter Mount Kit, # D15707, it allows you to put your filter in a convenient location for easier oil changes. It is a dual oil filter, so it will give you additional filtration and increased oil capacity, it does not allow you to bypass the oil filter. I would also recommend the Derale High-Temperature Replacement Hose for Engine Applications - 25' Long, # D15799,and the Derale Stainless Steel Hose Clamps (4 Piece), # D13008.

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2013 Chevy Tahoe
I have the perfect transmission cooler option for you. Generally speaking, the best transmission cooler to use would be the largest one you have available space for. The best place to install a transmission cooler is in front of the radiator/condenser behind the grill on your 2013 Chevy Tahoe. I recommend using the Derale 25-Row, High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler part # D52508 because the plate and fin technology incorporated into this transmission cooler is far more efficient than...

  • Most Efficient Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500
The most efficient style of transmission cooler is the stacked plate style like the part # D54012 that you referenced. So for the largest one in this style you'd want the # D54010 which measures 13W x 13-7/8T x 2D Inch and you'd have an extremely efficient cooler. To complete the installation you will want two of the barb hose fittings, part # D98202, replacement rubber hose # D15799, hose clamps # D13008 and insta-dapt radiator adapter # D13004. The mounting kit is # D50020.

  • Engine Oil Cooler with Thermostat for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma with V6 Motor
First you would need an engine oil cooler kit. I recommend # D15502 because it comes with multiple thread types and has the proper O-ring size for a V-6 Toyota motor. The sandwich adapter included is thermostatic so a separate thermostat is not required. Oil that is cooler than 180 degrees will bypass the heat exchanger, so your engine will warm up faster. You may need some extra hose like # D15700 for 10 feet. And for hose clamps use # D13008. I have included a couple of links to oil...

  • Will the Derale Spin-On Remote Oil Filter Adapter Work on a 1964 Ford Interceptor Y block 312 CID
The Derale Premium Spin-On Adapter Kit - 3/4-16 Engine Filter Threads, item # D35703, is designed to replace the adapter that goes on the engine block filter landing. My reference guide only goes back to 1965 but I am confident that the 3/4-16 threads will work on your 1964 Ford motors. 312 CID translates to 5.1 Liters which is most likely what they now call the 5.0 liter Ford engine. Along with the spin on adapter you will need the Derale 1/2 inch NPT Male x 1/2 inch Barb Straight Hose...

To use the Derale 40-Row, High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler # D54006 on your 1997 Ford F-250 you will a few parts to attach to your 5/16" transmission line. First you need two if the Derale -6 AN Female Swivel x 3/8" Barb Hose Fittings # D98200 to convert the AN fittings on the cooler. Then you will need some 3/8" Derale High-Temperature Replacement Hose # D13016 which comes in a 5' length. Depending on the placement of your cooler you may need 2 of these. • Can Extra Ports on Filter Landing of Derale D15749 Relocation Kit Be Used to Install an Oil Cooler
You certainly can. To install a cooler, you'd just need a cooler such as # D15452, two fittings, part # D98103, some replacement hose like # D15701 and some pipe clamps like # D13008. Remove the plugs, install the fittings, place the cooler where it'll catch air and run the hose. You'll want to use teflon tape like # A05-0265 on the fittings installed into the filter landing.

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2012 Ram 3500, 6.7 Cummins with 6 spd Automatic
The best way to install a supplemental transmission cooler in line with a factory transmission cooler is to put the supplemental cooler after the factory cooler. To do that you will need to determine which of the lines from the factory cooler is the outlet. To do that you will want to start your truck when its cold, put it in drive for about 10 seconds with the brake on, put it back in park and shut the truck off. Next you will want to grab both transmission lines feeding into the cooler....

  • Adding an Engine Oil Cooler and a Power Steering Cooler to a 2007 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4.0L V6
Thanks for asking about a Power Steering Cooler and Engine Oil cooler for your 2007 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6. Adding two more coolers is not going to present a cooling issue for your engine/radiator. The coolers allow air to flow through them and will not transfer enough heat to the air going through them to effect the cooling performance of the vehicle's radiator. Your engine oil filter has 3/4-16 threads. So you can determine the correct threads to use from the recommended kits below,...

For your 2011 GMC Sierra I recommend using a Derale 10,000 Series Stacked-Plate Cooler with -10 AN Fittings, like # D52510. I spoke with my contact at Derale and he said these coolers are popular among Allison transmission owners. When choosing a transmission cooler, the largest cooler that will fit in the space available in your engine compartment is typically the best. Generally speaking, the larger the cooler the better the cooler performance. A stacked-plate cooler is the most efficient...

Typically, in automotive applications, the addition of a supplemental cooler will drop the fluid temperature around 10 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit. • Type of Hose and Hose Clamps for Use with Oil Filter Relocation Kit
Oil pressure can vary as you can see on the gauge of your dashboard when the engine is running. With our oil filter relocation kits like the part # D15707 that you referenced we recommend high temp hose like the part # D15799 and hose clamps like the part # D13008 and there isn't any issue with the lines or pressures. I would not run this type of hose without hose clamps though as that's most likely going to create a huge mess and potentially damage the engine.
