The best way to install a supplemental transmission cooler in line with a factory transmission cooler is to put the supplemental cooler after the factory cooler. To do that you will need to determine which of the lines from the factory cooler is the outlet. To do that you will want to start your truck when its cold, put it in drive for about 10 seconds with the brake on, put it back in park and shut the truck off. Next you will want to grab both transmission lines feeding into the cooler. Whichever is cooler is the outlet and the one you will route to the supplemental cooler.

You should have plenty of room in front of your radiator for the Derale 16-Row Cooler # D51608 to fit. You will want to put it wherever it will get the most air flow.

For additional parts you will probably want the following:

Bracket Kit for Stacked Plate Coolers # D50020
Derale Stainless Steel Hose Clamps # D13008
Derale High-Temperature Transmission Cooler Line 25 feet # D13017
A quantity of (2) Derale -8 AN Barb Hose Fittings # D98202
Derale Insta-Dapt Radiator Adapter # D13004

I attached a couple helpful links on transmission coolers and installs that you might find helpful also.
