Would have been easier to install with two people. But works as advertised. No problems at all with it.
The recommended hitch by the Curt brand was a perfect fit and finish.
Shipping was lightning fast, but the product was damaged in shipping due to inadequate packing. The receiver had poked out through the too-weak carboard, allowing more than half of the hardware to be lost in some shipping truck or depot. etrailer refused to overnight me the hardware, claiming that do do so was impossible. That's obvious nonsense, because I can get something to any of my clients anywhere in the US overnight. Anyone can. So etrailer has lost a customer.
The hitch itself is OK, but just OK. It could have been very simple to fit, but the holes were slightly misplaced, relative to the vehicle -- which has had no damage history. The frame looks brand new. With all the hardware loose enough to allow alignment, one bolt took considerable force to line up by flexing the hitch frame by about 1/4 inch.
Mediocre hitch, rotten customer service.
This hitch was installed on a 1999 Dodge Durango. The quality of the Curt hitch is excellent. I'm very happy with it. I did have trouble with one of the four mounting bolts--left rear-most--due to the existence of a large body mount bolt directly above it. I wish that the rearmost bolts had been about 3/8" to 1/2" shorter than they are. It would have made that part of the install much easier. As is I was barely able to get it in there with way too much time involved. I would have cut that bolt down except that I didn't have a 1/2-13 die on hand to clean it up after cutting. The other three mounting bolts were quick and direct.
I was also happy with the quality of the Curt electrical harness that I ordered with this hitch. However, the install on the electrical was quite tedious, time consuming, and painful/bloody. This was mostly the fault of the Durango design and that my hands were too big for the space I had to get into. However the cable for the four wire connector to the trailer is too short and won't reach where it needs to go. I will have to splice in a long section to get down to the hitch. Fortunately the trailer cable is long enough to reach up to the connection with the rear lift gate open so that I could check out function. Everything works.
Overall very nice quality. The only drawback was that the install was not as easy as advertised. But it's done and it works. Thanks.
The hitch for my 2002 Dodge Durango was an exact fit, high quality heavy steel construction and has worked perfectly without a hitch (no pun intended).....also purchased the taillight connector which was easy to install and also is top quality..I highly recommend ETrailer for any towing needs......

Instructions say 20 minute install but surely wasn't. 1 bolt needed shortened due to the hole being right under a body mounting bolt and being too tight to slide it in. Everything else went smoothly and with cutting the bolt was able to get it done in about an hour. Shipping was fast and well packaged. Would definitely buy again. Just be advised you may need to do a little tweaking.

The last Bolt hole didn't line up and part of the unit had torn through the box when the package arrived. The Metal flexes so I think it got bent in shipping. It works but I had to farmer it.

The package was left out in the rain. The delivery co. didn't ring the door bell to let us know that a delivery had been made. I was expecting this delivery to be made on Friday, July 8th. Other than that, everything was ok.

An easy 1-person job. All 4 bolts went right in. I think it took less than 10 minutes. Very happy.

The hitch is used often and does the job very well. Until I reread the review, I had forgotten about difficulties I had with the install...that were almost totally due to the Durango design. I intend to continue to use your products on my other vehicles.
