The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

Today we're going to be reviewing part number BU45CB. This is Sealed, 4" Round Trailer Back Up Light from Optronics. The clear, round trailer light is going to function as a backup light. Featuring a sealed, waterproof housing and lens unit. Does have a corrosion resistant design. As well as a heavy-duty, long-life incandescent bulb.
The bulb is going to sit in a shockproof socket that's going to guarantee a long bulb life. It will accept industry standard, 2-prong plug. It does feature 3-prongs that are on the back side but only uses two functions. That's the only reason why the 2-prong plug is necessary. You can pick up a mounting grommet, sold separately, part number A45GB. The 2-wire pigtail that we'll be using today in our demonstration is available at etrailer.com.
Sold separately with part number A45CB. That's going to help you for a complete flush mount installation. The the mounting bracket is also available, you can find that underneath the related products with part number BK45BB. That's also going to be sold separately. If we go over the dimensions real quick, this is going to give us a diameter of 4 1/4", With a depth of right around 2". We're going to go ahead and hook it up to our external power source.
We're just going to take our 2-prong plug. Fit it into our mounting location here on the back side. You can see here that when we activate the reverse light, it's a nice bright signal. The incandescent bulb really puts out a strong signal, especially through that clear lens. That's going to do it for today's look at part number BU45CB. This is Sealed, 4" Round Trailer Back Up Light from Optronics.

I only needed one but went ahead and purchased two to replace both, and I am glad I did!! Was very easy to replace, female plug just plugs right in with no problems!! I have enclosed a picture of front and back of lights, to show clearness and to show plug area!
Hard to find item delivered promptly at a good price. A necessary item for my Gulfstream RV. You need stoplight and backup lights! I ordered and received both!

The backup light fits my 2006 motorhome perfectly and works well. In fact, it is so much brighter than my other backup light that I am thinking of ordering another one. Etrailer's service was first rate. The package came when promised and was packed very well with plenty of cushioning to protect the light.

Purchased a pair of these after one light burnt out on my 2005 coachmen camper. Both easily installed assisted by a bit of silicone sprayed on the exhisting rubber grommets. Good as new !!!

I ordered back-up lights and they arrived very quickly. Finding "etrailer.com" on line has been very illuminating.
product was as advertised and promptly delivered. The fit was very tight for my Winnebago motor home but it worked fine. The exit for the wiring comes off the bottom instead of the side. That was my fault for not checking. I made it work.
