Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Taylor Made Bimini Top Side Mount Deck Hinge. This is going to Mount vertically on the sidewall of your boat. It's going to allow you to connect your Bimini Top support poles. The way these works, you can move the screw there.
Take one of your ions, the screw back through the ion hole, and then screw it in. That's going to allow you to then put your feminine top pole in the end, and have that hedging feature that you can open and close your Bimini Top. This is a Stainless Steel Deck Hinge so it's going to provide superior corrosion resistance. You're not going to have to worry about it rusting or anything like that. This kit does just come with the one deck hinge.
However, you can buy as many as you need for your purposes.The hinge itself is right about seven eighths of an inch wide, it's one and 61, 60 fourths of an inch when I measured it with the digital calipers or just under two inches. As you can see, there might be a little bit exaggerated, right about there. It's about two inches just under that. It's right around 43, 60 fourths of an inch thick, or just shy of 11 sixteenths. The screw, once we have it put in, it's going to provide an opening for our external ions apart.
That's not threaded there. It's going to be right about 21, 60 fourths of an inch, or just not quite 1130 seconds. Our total with the screw mounted, it's going to be right about one and five 30 seconds of an inch sticking out from the side of our boat. Of course the external eye end will stick out just a little bit farther than that, but not a whole lot.Now, this external ion that I keep using is the Taylor Made Bimini Top external ion for three-fourths inch poles that is not included with your Dickins, but you can find it here at etrailer.com using part number three six nine one two zero three.That's going to complete our look at the Taylor Made Bimini Top side Mount Deck Hinge..
