Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Buyer's Products Air Chamber and Plunger Kit for the pH 50 and pH 55 Series Air Compensated Pintle Hook. Now, this is just the air chamber and the plunger kit, and it is designed to work with the Buyer's Product's pintle hook, which we do sell separately on our website. Just to show you, there's a picture of one of those pintle hooks it'll work with. And when it's used together with that pintle hook, it'll form the 50 ton air compensated pintle hook with chamber and plunger, which would be, looks like that.

There's the pintle hook with this plunger kit and the air chamber. And those we do sell separately. The whole kits we sell separately. They come as part number 337PH55AC, or part number 337PH50AC. Now, the pintle hook just by itself, the first picture I showed you right there, that insert.

Those pintle hooks we do also sell separately, if you just need the pintle hook and you already have their chamber. The pintle Hook part number is 337PH55, or 337PH50. And again, they're sold separately. They're usually listed on this product page as a related product. But this part here that we're talking about in this video is gonna include the parts that are shown here on the table, the air chamber and the plunger, the mounting bracket, the hardware install it, and the airline fitting.

So basically, what happens is, when you're using this part with that pintle hook we mentioned, it gives you complete (indistinct) of an air compensated pintle hook, and that'll help cushion the movement between the pintle hook and your lunette ring. This feature will save wear and tear on the parts, especially in sudden motion or braking situations. The pintle hook uses the vehicle's air system to hold the drawbar eye closely to help reduce wear, absorb shock, and prevent uncoupling during operation. It prevents uncoupling by locking the pintle jaw in place during transit. Now, this is ideal for heavy duty applications, such as semi-trailers, both off-road and over the road.

And as we mentioned, this video here is just for the air chamber and plunger kit. It is a carbon steel construction. Has a nice, durable corrosion resistant powder coat finish. And if you notice on the plunger and right here, has a nice, zinc-plated finish on the plunger.
