Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Draw-Tite Replacement Hide-A-Goose Performer 2 5/16 inch Gooseneck Hitch Ball. This is going to replace a hitch ball for your Bulldog, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, or Reese Hide-A-Goose Performer Gooseneck Trailer Hitch, specifically, it is going to work for the models that you see on the screen there, so if you have any of those trailer hitches, whether it's a Bulldog, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, or Reese, and you're needing to replace that Hide-A-Goose ball, this is gonna do a great job for you, allowing you to still have full bed access when you need it, and then to tow your gooseneck trailer when you want to. So this is your standard 2 5/16 inch ball, so it is going to work with your gooseneck coupler. Our shank diameter here, we're looking at just over 2 1/2 inches, 2 5/8 of an inch. This does have a high rise or it is a high rise, so it's got an additional inch built in, so from the top of our hitch ball down to base here, we're looking at right at 8 1/4 of an inch, from the top of the ball down to the top of our pinhole, it's right at 6 1/4 of an inch.
And this is a steel construction with a protective chrome finish on it, so it is gonna hold up really well for you, gives us a gross trailer weight capacity of 20,000 pounds as you can see printed on the top there. But of course, you are going to be limited by your lowest rated component in your towing setup, so you make wanna make sure that you never surpass your lowest component, you're only as strong as the weakest link in your system. So this is going to have a limited lifetime warranty, so if you we're to have any issues with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But if you are needing to replace that original ball, this is gonna do a great job for you. That completes our look for today.

It was almost terrible, but ended up great. I Georgia company much more on how they conduct themselves when things don't quite go right rather than when they go perfectly. It's easy to look like a rockstar when everything is perfect, but it is much harder to be a quality company when things don't go your way. This time around I was accidentally shipped the wrong part for an upcoming trip in a couple of days, I was able to get a hold of my original sales representative Cassandra and she was able to identify and rectify the issue and time for a very important cross country trip. Her courtesy and professionalism throughout the entire experience was exemplary and has earned this company a loyal customer. The 5” offset ball did not fit my 2016 Ram 2500 so I had to send it back. I hope it will not be necessary when my gen-y hitch arrives.

Just as pictured. It fits the Draw-Tite GN on my 2011 Silverado 2500 HD perfectly! It is a big heavy-duty item and must weigh about 10#. The weld around the ball is nicely done.

I ordered this 5” offset extension yesterday. Got it in 24 hours at normal shopping time frame. It looks and worked great!
The offset ball works great and gives me plenty of room to move my camper around. The shorter bed on the newer trucks don't give much room for turning, but with the offset ball I haven't had any issues yet
Perfect fit for our Ford F-250 draw tight hitch...we bought the truck not knowing what kind of gooseneck ball fit it because it didn't come with one... Katie at etrailer told us exactly what type would fit it after we explained what the hitch looked like on the frame of the truck and she was right...

Good product. Would be nice if the hitch plate kit had the option to include this ball. b/c now I have the straight ball that I don't use that came with the system.

It works great now my camper is not right at my back window. But I gave it 3 stars because I still have to remove my toolbox on my 2012 F150 Supercrew.
