What's up everybody. It's AIJ with etrailer.com, today what we're checking out and find out how to install, and replace the top rubber strip on your Thule wing bar. So this is in there to protect your T-truck accessories so they can slide along in there, It's nice that you don't have to cut this to fit your accessories, to just go here in the center. So if this is damaged you probably want to replace it as soon as possible. Plus it cuts down on the whistling as the wind hits it on your roof. So if it's damaged, we're going to show you how to replace it.
First off, remove the damage weatherstrip, and that's when it isn't really damaged, but we're just going to say it is so we can put the new one in. So you can either pull it back with your hands and you see I kind got started with this trim panel tool. Just easier than digging your hands in there. Sometimes this one seems like it's still in there. Pretty good so I can get underneath a little easier from the side, I think, and pry up on it just a little bit by little bit until it comes loose.
There we go. Just like that. And now I can just peel it all the way out. Now, when you get yours, they're going to be connected. This one was already on there, so it's already split but it does have a cerated edge at the top.
And you can kind of take it and start to peel it just a little bit. That way, peels all the way down in the middle and it'll fill in that gap, but still split when you go to add a T-truck accessory. looking at the edge here, you just want to point out how you know, to put which one where, so you can see that there's two grooves on this side. which is going to match this rubber strip seal the two grooves there. So you want to put this one there and this one only has one.
So you're just going to slide it into this one groove here. Now we do that, this come out to the end just slide it on like that. It goes in pretty easily. We're going to repeat that for this one over here. Now, when you get yours you're going to get two of these put together. So it's going to be for each bar on your roof and it might be a little bit longer than the bars on your roof. So you can just gonna have to cut it to length when you get it installed all the way. With the rose chip back installed. You just put your end caps back on and that pretty much does it thanks for hanging out. And I hope this helped..

I would not recommend buying from this retailer. I bought rubber strip for my Thule cross bars. They said it would fit the Thule. It does not fit Thule. I asked to return it. They said yes however they will not pay to ship it back. I told them it is not my fault that the item they said would fit doesn't and I should not have to pay to ship it back. They refuse to pay for the shipping.

I had cut the original strips a tiny bit short and was having whistling issues at higher speeds. Learned my lesson, though it was an expensive one! These are OEM product and shipped quickly, so quite pleased with my trailer experience.

Both of the straps have an irregular edge, with bumps. In my opinion, they're unusable. Not OEM parts.

The original piece flew off at some point and the gal created a whistling sound. The replacement piece was a perfect fit and the whistling stopped.

When I originally bought the Thule Rack I thought what a good idea. Slide the racks on and off as needed. The first time I did it they got caught and started tearing and flopping around. I found the replacements on eTrailer. They have been fantastic. I am not sure if I am doing a better job putting my racks on and off, but my gut says this is just a good part. Recommended!

Thank you for the timely help you provided. The replacement rubber straps accompany cross rails that I purchased three years ago. You were able to look up.my original order number and ensured that I received the right product. E Trailer has been exceptional in areas of customer service and support. My only feedback was the pric we point. $46 for two rubber straps seemed too much but this doesn't detract from your valuable service.

I received everything I ordered and on time. While a number of items on Thule's site was found to be out of stock, after calling etrailer's customer service they had all the parts I was looking for so I was able to finish my project before our trip to FL. I relied on parts from etrailer to come thru. So Kudos to all at etrailer customer service, they are truly well versed in their trade. When looking for parts I will go to etrailer first from now on.

I am sorry as I do not have the best news for you. What I see is that you have the Thule Aero bars which has a different shape than the Wingbar Evo. This channel cover is for the Wingbar Evo. The channel cover that you need is part # TH853354407.
