Detail K2 Plow Length

The Detail K2 snowplow conveniently slides into your vehicle's front-mounted trailer hitch for fast, simple mounting. Easily raise and lower the plow from the comfort of your cab with the remote-controlled electric winch. The pivoting blade makes this plow ideal for rocky or uneven surfaces because it can adjust to the terrain.

Simple, Hitch-Mounted Installation

This hitch-mounted snowplow simply slides into your vehicle's front trailer hitch receiver, making it a breeze to install. A plow that attaches to custom-fit brackets ties you down to just 1 vehicle. But this hitch-mounted plow can be used on most trucks or SUVs with a 2" x 2" front-mounted hitch. As a result, this plow can be easily switched between multiple vehicles. And because it offers a nearly universal fit, you won't have to buy a new plow when you replace your old vehicle.

Detail K2 Hitch Mount

To install the snowplow, just slide the shank of the plow assembly into your 2" trailer hitch receiver (sold separately). Then use a pin and clip or a hitch lock (sold separately) to secure the plow in the receiver.

Detail K2 Caster Wheel

The snowplow comes with flip-down caster wheels that make the installation process even easier on you. Simply flip the wheels into position and you will be able to roll the plow into position for mounting or storage. The height of the wheels can also be adjusted to match the height of your vehicle.

How to Plow

Detail K2 Adjustable Plow Position

Once the plow is mounted on your vehicle, lower the blade and set it to the desired angle. To set the angle, exit the vehicle and manually position the plow straight ahead, to the left, or to the right. Angling the blade allows you to push snow off to the side where you want it without having to change the angle of your entire vehicle. This is especially useful on a driveway or a private roadway where piling the snow straight ahead would create a barrier.

Detail K2 Wireless Remote 2.4Ghz

The plow comes with a wireless remote that allows you to stay warm and out of the elements while still effectively controlling the plow. The remote operates on a 2.4 GHz frequency, allowing it to quickly send signals to the winch without experiencing delays. And because it's wireless, you won't have to run wires through your dash. Nor will you have to leave your window cracked open in the middle of a snow storm just so that you can run a wired remote into your cab. You will be glad to have it on those cold winter days.

To begin plowing, just drive forward. When backing up to take another pass, be sure to lift the plow with the remote, then lower it again before moving forward. When approaching a large pile of snow, be sure to decrease your speed. Slamming into a pile of snow can void the warranty on the snowplow.

When you are finished, put your vehicle in park and lower the plow. Remove the plow from your vehicle after every use.

Easy Lifting with Electric Winch

Detail K2 Electric Winch

The electric winch on this plow allows you to easily lift and lower the blade using the wireless remote control. If you prefer, you can also install the included in-cab toggle switch to control the plow. The winch uses a durable strap, which is much quieter than a chain, to raise and lower the plow.

Detail K2 Features

Detail K2 Skid Shoes

The snowplow features skid shoes that allow you to adjust the height of your plow. This allows you to efficiently plow over surfaces that are uneven, such as gravel roads.

Detail K2 Blade Stiffener

Blade stiffeners, or blade support brackets, reinforce the connection between the plow and your vehicle. They add 2 additional points of contact with your hitch on either side of the plow's T-frame. This prevents stress on the frame and on your vehicle, while also strengthening the performance of the plow.

Detail K2 Trip Springs

Shock-absorbing springs allow the plow to dip forward in the event that you hit an obstruction. This flexibility protects you and your vehicle from impacts.

A good install! A bit of trimming for my application , but the bolt holes lined up perfectly. This front hitch was not specifically for a Lexus GX 460 but I decided to try it. There is a small area of lower bumper plastic that had to be trimmed. The hitch was pushing up against it before it was high enough to be in place. Upon trimming that area, it went in perfectly. If trimming the lower plastic is not for you, probably best to pass. However for my use, it works well. It is a stout piece, very strong. I added a pic with a red line to show where the trim needs to be.

Works very well. I use it for mounting bikes in front, mounting a removable winch, and a front basket when I am camping. I had to add a 12 inch extension, the hitch is tucked under quite a bit. This is a very stout set up. No worries for any use.

2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Decent plow for the price.

I installed
this DK2 Avalanche on a 2003 GMC Yukon 1500 with a Curt front receiver hitch 31302. If you have a side mount battery, you may need battery bolt extenders (Battery Doctor #30400) to make life easier. That said, the ring terminal connectors on the winch control box will be too small. Get ones that will fit the 3/8 inch stud and 12-10 AWG wire to replace the stock ones.

Manufacturer instructions are not very helpful, but Graz's Garage has a great install video on YouTube. He installed his on a 2020 Chevy Colorado Z71. You can always count on a gearhead from Detroit. eTrailer is awesome at responding to concerns, too, and I'm glad I bought this product from them.

Lexus

Installed on my 2012 Lexus GX460. Perfect fit once I cut the center section of the lower plastic area for it to fit. Also had to trim the bottom splash guard and bend in the L brackets that hold it on. Took me about 2 hours. Very happy with the outcome. Now can mount snow blade for the driveway clearing…or any other hitch items.

2010 GMC Terrain

I had great personnel service, and the Hitch Receiver is solid. The material is heavy duty, and the welds are first class. Second item I've bought from etraier and both time I have been 100 percent satisfied. I go offroad and I use the hitch to hold a 2nd spare tire. I just got back from a 1,500-mile road trip to the Naveda mountains, in rough terrain, in 7-degree weather and many feet of snow and it held perfect. American made is the only way to go when your life depends on it.

2009 Toyota 4Runner

Fit perfectly on my 08 Lexus GX470. Super excited for the additional functionality of having a front hitch. I move trails around my tight yard but also will enjoy putting a cooler on the front cargo rack, and having my hitch mounted winch up front. So versatile.

2007 Toyota 4Runner

Okay, first things first. I installed this hitch on a 2006 4Runner, even though the hitch wasn't specifically for that model year (Curt says the hitch fits 2007-09 4Runners). The 2006 4Runner's front tow hooks are angled down, which is a requirement for this hitch to fit (see the picture). One snag I ran into was that the four bolt holes along the top of the hitch didn't quite line up with the bolts on my 4Runner (the holes were not quite far enough apart) so I took the hitch to a machinist who elongated the holes for me. I don't know if this mismatch was a manufacturing defect in the hitch, or whether it was due to the difference between a 2006 4Runner and the 2007-09 models. Once I fixed the hole spacing, the hitch installed fine. Seems like a solid hitch. Planning to use it to push a trailer around when parking it.

This thing is great! Its so much easier to push a trailer around using a front hitch than it is to back it with the rear hitch. I can push this thing up a long curvy driveway with no trouble. Definitely recommended.

by: Steve Miller01/13/2021

My plow was delivered quickly. It took a bit longer to assemble than I thought it would, but it seems pretty heavy duty and looks and works great for my 600' long driveway. It's much better and quicker than plowing with my 4 wheeler and warmer too.

2008 Toyota 4Runner

I installed this on my 2008 Toyota 4runner in order to back my pop up camper down an inclined very tight drive. It was difficult to use the rear hitch because I did not have enough room to straighten out the 4runner. I did it with the front hitch on the first try! My wife says it saved our marriage! Putting the camper away was the most stressful part of the trip before this. I did need to buy a longer ball hitch of a different height because the front hitch sits lower and further under the bumper. Etrailer quickly shipped exactly what I ordered

I just used it again today, and it is still working great. Glad I got it.

2007 ToyotaFJ Cruiser

Great Fitting Hitch for the front of my FJ Cruiser. I needed a solution to re-use a personal plow from another vehicle. Luckily, the plow was able to be converted to a 2" receiver hookup. Using my existing winch for the up/down with a snatch block. Even with aftermarket Warrior Bumper and Skid Plates fit perfectly. Ground clearance not compromised. 6 bolt installation, EASY PEEZY.

Fast and reliable shipping. Quality product and easy install.
*Plastic front piece on bumper bends ever so slightly for tow hitch to fit.

by: Will 11/12/2022

Plow seems to be of good quality, wont know till I actually use it, how good it is. Seems sturdy enough to do the job, assembly was very straight forward.
My only complaint is etrailer left me dangling for a month with no updates on my order status, even after chatting with one of their customer service people.
I ended up contacting DK2 to get a ship date.

The front mount Toyota FJ Cruiser hitch fit perfectly. It took me 30-45 minutes to install. you need a 145mm socket or wrench and a larger socket for the bolts that come with the kit (I used an adjustable). Good clean install using a total of 6 bolts (4 existing and 2 new that bolt to the factory tow points.

Excellent Kit!!! very happy!

What a value!! I installed this front receiver hitch on my 2007 FJ Cruiser and is was a perfect fit. I planned to use it for a bicycle rack mount when pulling my boat but use it also for a winch mount, access step for under the hood and for trailer handling in tight spaces. Super fast shipping from etrailer.com and great price too!!

Thanks, et!!

by: Greg R.12/24/2020

Fit my 2006 4Runner perfectly. Some have had issues installing this hitch on a 2006 4Runner here in the reviews. I purchased this 31367 hitch in February 2019, but did not get around to installing it until today, December 2020. The installation was quick and simple. Removed four nuts connecting the bumper to the frame (but four bolts remain so the bumper stays intact) by using a couple drops of Liquid Wrench (like WD40, but more aggressive penetration) on each to help loosen them with the 1/2" drive breaker bar (about 16" long) and 14mm socket. Then lifted the hitch in place to hang on the bolts and placed the nuts on snug but not tight. The hitch comes with two 24mm bolts that then go through front hitch plates, front vehicle tow hooks, and have a heavy duty rectangular 'washer' used on the under side of the tow hook to bolt the front hitch to the tow hooks. These vehicle tow hooks must be angled down at 45degrees (straight out about 1/2" then down at 45degrees) to match the front hitch mounting plate which is also at 45degrees. As shown, the front hitch has replacement tow hooks welded to it, so you still have hooks after mounting. I then tightened the two 24mm bolts and then the four 14mm bolts. Done in about 45 minutes from box open to box in the recycle bin.

2014 ToyotaFJ Cruiser

For 2014 fj cruiser; will not fit until you cut-off the two inside lower mount bolts that do not attatch the front bumper brackets at the end or front of the frame. Not sure why these bolts are there, but may be by Toyota for some other option. Haad to cut-off then grind the remaining remnant f the stud before installation could proceed.

3/29/2015

Did you use hack saw or some easier method of cutting off bolts. Did you find what use these bolts were mounted for.

by: Deborah10/01/2022

Bolt holes did not line up. etrailer was no help. Many unreturned calls and unhelpful emails and unanswered questions, and no solutions offered. Finally gave up. Will probably have to have it welded on.

When they asked me to review it after one year (now), I stated the above to them. Their response was: "etrailer is continuously looking for ways to improve our customers' experience and we take your comments very seriously. Without honest feedback from valued customers like you we would not know where we need to make improvements." But again, offered no help or solution.

  • Will Curt Front Hitch Receiver Fit a 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser with Expedition One WyoOtto Bumper
  • The front mount hitches we carry for your 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser including # 31367 are designed to fit stock vehicles. But looking at pictures of the Expedition One WyoOtto bumper versus the stock bumper it does not appear that the new bumper hangs down any lower than the stock bumper. Provided that the new bumper uses the same mounting locations as the stock bumper and none extra needed by the hitch (see linked instructions) then I am confident it will fit. I have linked a video showing

  • Front Hitch Recommendation for 2007 Toyota 4Runner
  • For your 2007 Toyota 4Runner we have one front mount hitch, the Curt part # 31367 which is a confirmed fit. We can't recommend trying to install any other hitch on the front of your vehicle. With a bike rack mounted to the front of the vehicle normally it's not an issue but you have to consider that it might block headlights and turn signals depending on the style of bike and how "see-through" it might be.

  • Can the Loops on a Front Mount Hitch be Used for Vehicle Recovery
  • Yes, the front loops on the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31367 can be used for vehicle recovery up to 9,000 lbs. In fact, this is actually what they are designed for. This hitch will be a direct fit for your 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser and will not require any drilling. If you ever need to pull yourself out you can also attach a winch like the ComeUp Cub Winch w/ Mounting Plate for 2" Hitches part # CU123933. I have attached a photo of the finished product for you as well.

  • Can Dirt Bike Carrier be Mounted to Front Hitch on Toyota FJ Cruiser
  • Yes, you can absolutely mount a dirt bike carrier such as the Ultra-Fab # UF48-979033 or etrailer # e98873 to the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 31367. I can verify as well that this hitch is a fit for the 2007 - 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser. In regards to legality you will want to check your local laws.

  • Recommended Front Mount Hitch And Bike Rack For 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser With Backup Camera
  • With the backup camera mounted in the middle of the spare tire hub on your 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser, it will be impossible to find a spare tire mounted bike carrier that would not interfere with the camera. Installing a rear hitch on your Cruiser and installing a bike rack would block the camera as well. My only recommendation would be to install a front mount hitch like part # 31367, on your Cruiser. You could then use a bike rack on the front of your vehicle. This hitch has a 350 lb

  • Front Hitch And Spare Tire Carrier For A 2010 Toyota Fj Cruiser
  • Yes, the Curt Front Mount Hitch # 31367 will indeed fit a 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser. It has a 350 lb vertical load limit so it can certainly be used for a spare tire mount. A really good option for a carrier is our etrailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # e98ZR. It has a universal bolt pattern design so it will accommodate virtually any wheel/tire combination.

  • Troubleshooting Installation of 2008 FJ Cruiser Front Mounted Hitch
  • With factory bolts, there is often thread locker or binding from time and debris. I recommend using a penetrating oil lubricant to work into the threading to allow you to loosen the nut. I recommend spraying the oil all the way around the nut only where it makes contact with the bolt and then using a wrench and mallet to add vibration to that nut. The vibration will help the oil get inside and loosen the hold. You may need to use a breaker bar to get the torque needed to loosen the

  • Is It Possible The Curt Front Hitch 31367 Could Fit 4Runner Models Prior To 2007?
  • Hey Trenton thanks for the question. You are correct that the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch # 31367 technically is not a confirmed fit for the 2003 Toyota 4Runner. Per the manufacturer it is only made for 2007-2009 models. That being said, we have had several of our customers report back to us and say that the # 31367 hitch can be made to fit model years prior to 2007. I have included a few screenshots of some customer reviews below. It sounds like in both cases the hitch was successfully

  • Will a Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Work with a Warn Multi Mount Kit On a 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser
  • The Curt Front Hitch for the 2008 FJ Cruiser , item # 31367, and the setup you are describing should work well, as long as the multi mount you are referring to is designed to fit into a 2 inch receiver. If you already have the winch but not the hitch mount, the Bulldog Hitch Mounted Winch Mounting Plate with Handles, item # BDW20011, will work with the mounting pattern of the Warn winch also.

  • Will the Curt Front Mounted Hitch 31367 for a 4Runner and FJ Cruiser Fit on a 2022 Lexus GX460?
  • The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" item # 31367 is a confirmed fit for a 2007 to 2009 Toyota 4Runner, 2007 to 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser, and 2010 to 2013 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition only. It was not designed to fit any other vehicles therefore I can not say whether or not it will fit a 2022 Lexus GX460. Just a heads up that attaching this hitch to a vehicle it's not designed for will void the hitch warranty and can also require major modifications done to your Lexus

  • Steel Thickness of Curt Front Mount Receiver Hitch # 31367
  • I went out to our warehouse and measured the thickness of the steel on the Curt Front Mount Hitch Receiver # 31367 with a digital caliper. The steel on the crosstube measured 0.255 inch thick and the steel on the mounting brackets are 0.342 inch thick. The tow hooks themselves have a 1/2 inch diameter. I have attached an image to assit. I have not heard of a customer modifying this particular hitch so that it fits your 2003 Toyota 4Runner so I am not sure what that process would

  • Is There a Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver Available For a 2019 Lexus GX 460?
  • As there is not a custom fit front receiver for your 2019 Lexus GX 460 you will need to have a receiver fabricated. The Curt Weld-On 2" Receiver # E17 is a great starting point for having a custom receiver fabricated. The Curt Receiver # 31367 fits a 2007 - 2009 Toyota 4Runner, 2010 - 2013 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition and a 2007 - 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser. These are on different chassis than your Lexus which is on a chassis closer to a Sequoia which there is also not a front receiver available

  • Several years ago we did have one customer who reported that they had to cut bolts for the Curt front hitch part # 31367 to fit their 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser but we haven't had any other customers report the same thing so I would not anticipate it being a requirement for you as well.

The front-mount hitch receiver you referenced, Curt # 31367, is a fit for various model years and versions of the 4Runner and FJ Cruiser, but not for your RAV4. • How to Determine if a Curt Front Hitch Be Installed with a Bull Bar on a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
  • In most situations front hitches and bull bars aren't compatible together on a vehicle like your 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser because they use the same installation points and occupy the same area for the most part. Since the front hitch # 31367 hasn't been tested with a bull bar I can't say for certain if it would fit or not. The best recommendation I can make would be to check out the install video and instructions I attached so that you can decide if they two could be both installed at
