I did some research and it looks like your Sears utility trailer has a maximum load capacity of 2,000-lbs. To add electric drum brakes to your trailer the current axle or spindles will have to have brake mounting flanges or, if no flanges are present, they will have to be welded on. For an example of a spindle that has a brake mounting flange take a look at # TRU37FR or # TRU74FR.

The Dexter Nev-R-Lube Hub and Drum for 7000-Pound Axles, part # 8-385-81SP, utilizes a different kind of bearing system than traditional hubs and drums. This hub and drum comes with the bearings and snap ring already assembled into the drum.
