If your RV steps extend more slowly with new motor # LC301695 than they used to with their original motor in place then the issue is likely to be either a weak electrical/ground connection to the motor, a mechanical problem with the step hinge mechanism or that the motor is not geared the same way as the original. I would start off checking the ground since this is the easiest thing to fix.

It could be the sensors on the door of your RV that's either failed or fallen off. You might check there to verify that the magnets are there and working properly. These sensors basically are what tells the steps your door is open or closed and needs to retract or extend. Since the step is stuck in the out position and the magnets being near each other is what tells the steps to retract it's very possible your magnets aren't getting close to each other for some reason. view full answer...
The MORryde StepAbove RV Steps, like part # MR58RR, actually have an adjustment you can make on the latch that I recommend looking at before you start cutting into anything (see attached).
If you aren't able to adjust the latch so that you can properly close your screen door I recommend modifying the door as opposed to removing the latch as the steps are designed to use both right and left latches to secure the stairs during travel. view full answer...
It could be that you got the incorrect control board or it was installed incorrectly but my guess is a problem with the door switch. I spoke to my contact at Lippert, he said that disconnecting the operating arm and reconnecting when the step are in the correct position won't fix the issue. He said that if the steps of the Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly - Double - 32 Series - 24" Wide # LC372261 are working in reverse that this indicates the magnetic door switch being incorrect. The switch that comes with the kit is a normally open switch. Did you install that switch? If not, it needs to be installed.

I spoke with my contact at Lippert and if you have Kwikee 32 Series steps like the # LC372261 that you linked to then this issue is being caused by the magnet switch you purchased # LC301694. For the 32 Series you would actually need the Replacement Magnetic Door Sensor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps - Rectangle - Black # LC369299.
Some switches are wired to be normally open or normally closed so mixing and matching parts can cause communication errors between the components. view full answer...
A clicking motor on your Tread Lite Electric Double Steps # LC353543 or # LC353621 is indicative there is an issue with the motor not sensing the proper amperage at the end of the extension cycle, which is what tells it to shut off when it is finished extending.
So the best option is going to be to replace the motor with the Replacement Motor for Lippert Tread Lite Powered RV Steps # LC183058.

If you've replaced the motor and the controller already and you know that you have a full 12v running to the steps then that leaves either an issue in the gear linkage (which you most likely already replaced when you replaced the motor so I don't believe it would be this) or with the door sensor.
