Ive read the magnet solution. Cant you just disconnect operating arm and reconnect when steps are in correct position ?

I spoke to my contact at Lippert, he said that disconnecting the operating arm and reconnecting when the step are in the correct position won't fix the issue. He said that if the steps of the Kwikee Electric RV Step Complete Assembly - Double - 32 Series - 24" Wide # LC372261 are working in reverse that this indicates the magnetic door switch being incorrect. The switch that comes with the kit is a normally open switch. Did you install that switch? If not, it needs to be installed.

If that does not correct your issue let me know and we will further troubleshoot your issues.
