Kwikee RV Steps Are Operating In Reverse When The Step Switch Is On
Question:
I have a lippert 369506 motor and a lippert 363982 control. what door sensor do I need. If my step switch is on, my steps will not open. if I turn the switch off, the steps will open. As long as the switch is off the steps will open and no matter what position the switch is in, when I close the door the steps will go back in.

It sounds like you have some wires flipped on Kwikee RV steps. I have attached an image I recommend you double check to ensure that your wiring is correct, as that may be the issue.
Additionally, it has been reported that the motor orientation could also be causing the opposite affect you're experiencing. What you'll want to do is ensure that the armature on the motor goes through a brush assembly, into the motor case which contains two permanent magnets.
If this is turned 180°, this can cause the steps to also run backwards.
Finally. as for the door magnet should you choose to replace it, you can use the Replacement Magnetic Door Sensor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC369299.
