Troubleshooting Kwikee RV Steps That Extend But Won't Retract

My steps will go out but not in when the closes I put in a new motor and control unit but that is all I get

If you've replaced the motor and the controller already and you know that you have a full 12v running to the steps then that leaves either an issue in the gear linkage (which you most likely already replaced when you replaced the motor so I don't believe it would be this) or with the door sensor.
It could be as simple as a bad ground or damage to one of the wires with your current door sensor so I'd start by checking the wiring and if you find no issues then move onto replacement. If you cut any wiring in the harness instead of using the 4-pole connector then you could have accidentally wired it incorrectly so I would double check that as well.
For a Kwikee 32 Series RV Step # LC372261 you'll need the Replacement Magnetic Door Sensor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC369299 if your sensor is in need of replacement.
I've attached a video below where I replace an old Kwikee single step and find that the door sensor was also broken so I replaced that as well.
