Fishwiring is when you run a bolt leader, which is a long wire that on one end you can thread a bolt (it looks like spring), through the hole the bolt needs to go in, and out through a larger access hole. There could be a way to route a trailer wiring harness through the bottom of the cargo area and out on your 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. The vent tube on the Redline 2-Piece Polypropylene Trailer Vent # HMAV2-AVT2 has a depth of 1-1/2 inches. The exterior half-moon piece does have a depth of about a 1/2 inch to eliminate some of the tube protrusion but on a 3/4 inch thick wall you likely will need to trim just a bit off the tube to allow the exterior piece to install flush with the trailer wall.
