Is Curt Hitch Install on a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek Difficult
Question:
Hello! Your class 3 hitch for a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek.. # C13135. I dont have a lot of tools and wondering how hard this is really to install. I really like the hitch and spending $600 at the dealer is unnecessary. Also, if I wanted to have somebody do this, who would you recommend doing? a body shop? local mechanic? Ugg.. I seriously dont want to screw up the bumper or anything. It has 1000 miles on it! Suggestions ? Thank you very much,

Install of trailer hitches like the # C13135 aren't typically that difficult or time consuming. Curt tells us that this would take about 40 minutes to install so any local mechanic to you that has a decent reputation would have no problem with this.
To get a better idea what the process is like so you can decide if you think you could handle it check out the video I attached. It shows this hitch being installed on a 2012 Crosstrek just like yours.
The tools needed for this install are a die grinder, an 11/16 and 3/4 inch socket, ratchet, torque wrench, and safety goggles.
