Can the Malone SteelTop Roof Rack Be Left Installed Through a Car Wash
Question:
Can I leave this on and drive through a car wash? I don’t want to take it off every time I wash the car.

Expert Reply:
The Malone SteelTop Roof Rack part # MPG201 will not need to be removed if using an automated touch-less car wash. However, if you are using an automated non touch-less car wash then it would be wise to remove the system which is simple to do as there are only two bolts per side. Please note, removing the roof rack before entering an automated non touch-less car wash is a rule for all roof rack manufacturers not just the above. I will say I have not personally heard of any issues with a roof rack and car wash incident but it is better to be safe than sorry.
The Malone SteelTop Roof Rack is an excellent cost effective option which is easy to use/install and comes with everything you need.
