What Do I Need to Install a Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier on a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek

I want to install a Thule hullavator for my kayak. Have a 2013 Subaru crosstrek with factory installed crossbars. What do I need?

To use the Thule Hullavator Pro, part # TH898, on your 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek you need to replace your factory crossbars with an aftermarket system. Factory systems aren't able to support the needed weight of the Hullavator Pro nor do they have the necessary over hang beyond the feet on each side. The crossbars needs to extend at least 4 inches beyond the feet for it to work properly and not hit the side of your Subaru.
I recommend the Thule WingBar system for you. It's one of the quietest on the market and easily installs on the Subaru's rails. To have enough overhand you need the 53 inch bars, either part # TH711400 for silver or # TH711420 for black. They attach using the Evo raised rail feet, part # TH710401, which you also need.
