  • Can TireMinder TPMS for Dual Axle Trailers be Used on a Boat Trailer
  • We have reached out to TireMinder in the past about their sensors, like what is included with the kit # TPMS-TRAILER you referenced, being used for boat trailer applications. While they did say that the sensors can be submerged, they did recommend not leaving the sensors submerged more than 30 minutes so as long as you are mindful of this and avoid doing so you can definitely use this kit on your boat trailer!

  • How Much of An Incline Does the Trailer Valet XL Work on And Does It Have Brakes
  • The Trailer Valet XL Trailer Dolly part # TVXL25 does not come with a drill bit # TVDA to move the trailer valet easier than before but the speed of the movement depends on the weight of your trailer and the environment as well as your drill. It works best on flat smooth pavement so the trailer can be moved easier and faster that way. However, the Trailer Valet XL does move the trailer up a 10% incline or 5.7 degree angle as confirmed by Trailer Valet. It does not work as well on gravel...

  • Will Trailer Valet Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211 Work for Open Car Trailer
  • The Trailer Valet Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover, # STC-V211, works great on trailers with frames up to 2-3/4 inches wide and 6 inches tall and a maximum tongue weight of 500 pounds so if your open car trailer meets both specifications, the Trailer Valet would be a great investment. Although I don't have any pictures or video of the Trailer Valet on an open car trailer, I do have a video of it being installed on one of my co-worker's V-nosed trailer. I have included a link to this video for you.

  • The Mighty Cord Trailer Connector Adapter part # A10-7084VP would work for you if the trailer has a 7-way trailer connector. However, if it has a 6-way trailer connector like you mentioned then you would want to use the Mighty Cord Trailer Connector Adapter part # A10-6034VP instead. Please keep in mind that both 6 and 7-way trailer connectors are used for trailers with brakes. If your trailer has brakes then the better option for you would be the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer...

  • If the vehicle has a 7-way trailer connector and the trailer has a 4-way trailer connector then you can use the Pollak 7 Pole to 4 Way Connector Adapter part # PK12716 to attach them to one another. However, if the vehicle has a 4-way trailer connector and the trailer has a 7-way trailer connector then you can either use an adapter like the Mighty Cord Trailer Connector Adapter part # A10-7084VP or you can just cut off the 7-way on the trailer and install the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Fix...

  • How to Tow a Trailer with 7-Way Connector on a Vehicle with 6-Way Trailer Connector
  • You are correct, the only difference between a 7-way trailer connector and 6-way trailer connector is that the 7-way trailer connector will have a circuit for the reverse lights whereas the 6-way trailer connector will not. Therefore, yes the trailer brakes will still work along with all of the other lighting functions except for the reverse lights. If the 6-way is on the vehicle and the 7-way is on the trailer then the adapter you have should look something like part # 47435.

  • Recommended Trailer Cover for Sundowner Mini-Go Enclosed Trailer
  • The trailer cover I recommend checking out for your Sundowner Mini-Go enclosed trailer is the Adco SFS AquaShed Cover for Bumper Pull Horse Trailer # 290-46001; if your trailer is actually slightly longer than 10 feet you will want to use the AquaShed # 290-46002. • Can Radial Tires be Used on a Travel Trailer
  • Yes, you can use radial tires on a trailer as long as they are trailer tires. Trailer tires will have ST in front of the size. Radial indicates which way the belts run in the tire. It is just a different kind of tire construction. Trailer tires, whether they are radial or bias ply, are built with a thicker sidewall than vehicle tires. This is because they handle more vertical load so you would not use vehicle tires on a trailer or vice versa. Trailer tires should also be inflated to the...

  • Can Electric Trailer Brakes be Added to a Harbor Freight Kit Trailer
  • Neither of those Harbor Freight trailers has brake mounting flanges on the spindles. To add electric brakes you would have to have brake mounting flanges welded on. This is a precision job that requires a special jig and someone with experience in welding on flanges. I have included a link to the flanges we carry to the right. You would also need to replace the idler hubs on the trailer(s) with hub and drum assemblies. The problem with that is the Harbor Freight trailers use uncommon bearings...
