Hey Kyle, happy to help out a fellow namesake, and we can indeed get your 2024 Jeep Wrangler set up to be flat towed with your Rugged Ridge Arcus front bumper and the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420. I did some research and it looks like the bumper accepts 7/8" D-rings so the correct adapter is the following:
- Blue Ox Off-Road Bumper Adapters # BX88357
I couldn't find anything about if the Arcus bumper was rated for flat towing, so you'll want to verify that with the manufacturer... view full answer...
My favorite brand for flat towing equipment is Roadmaster so I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM77GR for your 2024 Escape Hybrid. For a complete setup you will also need a tow bar, safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental braking system. I recommend the following:
-Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar - Non-Binding # RM-522
-Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-645
-Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit... view full answer...
Hey Michael,
The Falcon 5250 has direct-connect attachment points that hook onto a crossbar, if you remove the crossbar adapter then you'll be able to go with a direct-connect baseplate like the # RM77ZR (models with tow hooks) or # RM76RR (models without tow hooks).
If you haven't picked out the rest of your setup then I have the following recommendations:
Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will splice into your factory... view full answer...
Hey Brent, so I recommend going with Roadmaster for the majority of your setup. Both brands are great and will ultimately get the job done, but Roadmaster has become a very trusted brand in the industry and has a very good track record which is why I'd recommend them over Blue Ox.
So with that being said, for a set of tow bars I recommend checking out the Roadmaster Nighthawk All-Terrain Tow Bar w/ LED Lights # RM-676.
This tow bar has a nice 8K capacity, an integrated LED strip for easy... view full answer...
I do see the winch and mount you found is for attaching to the Ford Modular bumper on your 2022 Bronco. For this I recommend the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM92ZR. Roadmaster has one of the best reputations for quality and testing among all the brands we carry. Here is a list of the other components that will be required for flat towing your Bronco.

Hey Orlando, it's interesting that the dealer recommended against a weight distribution system because that would actually be your best solution to level your truck when towing. A suspension enhancement solution for the truck like an air bag setup would provide additional support to level the truck but that's as far as the benefits really go. A WDH system is going to actually put some of that tongue weight up on the front axle of the truck which greatly helps braking and handling so it's... view full answer...
Hey Josh, thanks for reaching out!
For just adding sway control to your 2023 Toyota Sienna towing setup I recommend one of the following:
- Curt Friction Sway Control # 17200 and Sway-Control Bracket # RP26005
or
- Curt True Course Advanced Bluetooth Trailer Sway Control # C94VV
The friction sway control is taking the more traditional approach and you'll need to install one bracket to your trailer frame and then the other on that sway-control bracket.
The True Course will plug into... view full answer...
The most similar braking system to the D-Celerator you have that we would recommend is the Demco SBS DUO part # SM99251. This is a permanent install style of supplemental braking system that our installers and customers really like because of how much easier it is to install compared to similar setups and how well it performs. This would be a great solution that fits your 2019 Buick Envision. view full answer...
Hey Tom, so you've done about as much suspension enhancement to you 1996 Ford F-350 as you can so what I would recommend for your new Jayco is a weight distribution system like the Strait Line part # RP66084 which will distribute some of the trailer's tongue weight up to the front axle of your truck which will help reduce suspension sag as well as improve handling and braking. This system also has the best sway control at preventing sway as well. view full answer...
The best charge line kit for flat towing your vehicle is the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25. I have a hard time not recommending all things Roadmaster when it comes to the wiring for a flat tow system because of how much research they've done, as well as the quality of the products they offer for flat towing. They don't use a ground wire but that's because the battery is already grounded and completing the circuit.
As for the BrakeBuddy Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Line... view full answer...
Wayne, the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Flat Tow Brake System # RM-8700 with the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751490 you have will transfer just fine from your 2021 Jeep Wrangler to your 2024 Jeep Wrangler.
I'm also looking at the wiring and base plates, and it appears that all that should transfer as well. view full answer...
Hey John, we actually have a supplemental braking system that was designed specifically to be used with the Spartan K2 chassis you have that has the Safe Haul system with the Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System part # DM54YV so this would be the best and easiest solution. view full answer...
When it comes to cost prices do fluctuate but at this time the lower end of the spectrum is going to be the Brake Buddy Classic 3 # HM39494 and then the Select 3 # HM39524. From there is the Roadmaster Even Brake # RM-9400 and then the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR.
Out of these options I personally prefer the Select 3 # HM39524 because you get a remote that allows you to adjust your brake settings on the go without having to leave the cab of the motorhome. With the Brake Buddy systems each... view full answer...
A weight distribution hitch is not required for towing any trailer but they do make it safer. I personally have never liked the round bar style hitches like Husky makes and always recommend units like the Fastway e2 # FA92-00-0800 since it uses a straight bar. These do not hang down a low as the round bar systems so they will not drag going over speed bumps or when you hit pot holes.
As long as you are staying within your towing capabilities and your Tacoma is not overly sagging from... view full answer...
Hello Michael. So, we do not sell the Andersen WD hitch here, but it is something I am familiar with. I also just spoke with an associate of mine who has some experience using the Andersen WD hitch so I can definitely give you an honest opinion on it.
What they say about it being easy to set up is true. Other than that, they really are not that great. The components seem flimsy, and it does not provide good sway control or weight distribution. I cannot say it is something I would recommend... view full answer...
I am going to recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600 for towing your 2,300lb travel trailer. This is a reliable system that has stood the test of time and works with trailers up to 6,000lbs with 250-600lbs of tongue weight. The Andersen makes some interesting claims with their system being revolutionary and eliminating sway but I have personally replaced their systems with ones like the Fastway above because they experienced sway. The Fastway has an actual sway... view full answer...
Hey Brian,
So I'm sorry to say there isn't a way to add an app or way to wirelessly use the Second Motorhome Kit for Roadmaster BrakeMaster Systems for Hydraulic Brakes # RM-98300.
I can see where you're coming from though, as wireless is wayyyy easier than manually monitoring and checking the air bags. It's such a pain I personally wouldn't want to go with anything but wireless, so if you were looking for something like that the easiest to use is the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System... view full answer...
Hello Pete. It sounds like you are on the right track here, because the Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17050 will definitely be a correct match for your 2020 Kia Telluride and your 5,000 lb trailer. Generally, we look more at the trailer side of things when selecting a weight distribution system. More specifically the loaded tongue weight of the trailer. The Curt # C17050 is recommended for trailers with a tongue weight between 400 and 600 lbs. It sounds like you will be within that... view full answer...
Hi Dan, I can definitely help you out with this.
To start, since your 2021 Tundra can tow 9,200 to 9,900 pounds, it should have no issues pulling a 2022 Forest River Salem 27RE. That said, you are getting pretty close to your truck's capacities so a weight distribution system is highly recommended. So let's get into that.
When picking a system that will work best for you, your fully loaded tongue weight (trailer) should fall in the middle (or as close as possible) of the weight distribution... view full answer...
Tongue weight is going to be the loaded tongue weight of your trailer plus the weight of any cargo stored behind your rear axle. You don't want to get caught up in changes to the weight on your axles with the trailer attached. Once you find this you will be able to select the correct weight distribution hitch. Also, you need to make sure that the hitch on your motorhome is rated for use with a weight distribution system.
For a quality WDH that is widely considered the best I recommend... view full answer...
