What is Best Way to Prevent Suspension Sag with 2016 Ford F-150 Towing Travel Trailer

Question:

I have a 2016 Ford F150 and I am trying to level out my truck with my travel trailer. Between the tongue height of the trailer and the squat of the truck hooked up the trailer is not level. The trailer has a GVWR of 4500#. The dealer installed a sway bar but recommended no WDH. Would air helper bags be the best solution to level out the setup?

Hey Orlando, it's interesting that the dealer recommended against a weight distribution system because that would actually be your best solution to level your truck when towing. A suspension enhancement solution for the truck like an air bag setup would provide additional support to level the truck but that's as far as the benefits really go. A WDH system is going to actually put some of that tongue weight up on the front axle of the truck which greatly helps braking and handling so it's all around the best solution.

So for a trailer that would weigh up to 4,500 lbs the best weight distribution system would be the Equal-i-zer part # EQ37040ET which has a tongue weight range that would work perfect with your trailer. It also has sway control built in so it would help with that as well.
