Adapters For Flat Towing 2024 Jeep Wrangler With Rigged Ridge Arcus Front Bumper & Blue Ox Tow Bar

Hello, My name is Kyle. Im looking for a flat tow setup for my RV. Here is what I currently have: 2018 Winnebago View 24V 2024 Jeep Wrangler 2DR with Rugged Ridge Arcus front bumper I am about to purchase a Blue Ox Avail BX7420 tow bar. It comes with two safety chains and the electrical cord. Can you please tell me if there is an adapter that will allow me to connect the tow bar directly to the Arcus bumper? If not, what would you recommend? Also, do you have a recommendation for a brake controller that hooks up to the brake pedal? Thank you!

Hey Kyle, happy to help out a fellow namesake, and we can indeed get your 2024 Jeep Wrangler set up to be flat towed with your Rugged Ridge Arcus front bumper and the Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7420. I did some research and it looks like the bumper accepts 7/8" D-rings so the correct adapter is the following:
- Blue Ox Off-Road Bumper Adapters # BX88357
I couldn't find anything about if the Arcus bumper was rated for flat towing, so you'll want to verify that with the manufacturer just to be sure. As for the supplemental braking system, the best one that connects to the brake pedal is the following:
- Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Flat Tow Brake System # SM99251
The Stay-IN-Play DUO is easily the best because it gives you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. So when you hit the brakes on your Winnebago, your Jeep is going to get the same amount of braking power, resulting in much smoother braking than other systems. To keep your battery charged I also recommend using the Towed Vehicle Battery Charge Line Kit # DM66VR.
Finally, I wanted to mention the wiring, as you said you had the electrical cord but I'm not sure if that was just the cord or you also had wiring to go with it. If it's just the cord, you'll need either the Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152 if your '24 Wrangler does NOT have the ParkSense rear park assist system or the Roadmaster Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes # RM47ZR if your Jeep DOES have ParkSense.
