The Thule Passage 3, part # TH911XT is indeed a fit for your Volvo XC90. Because the rack itself will be in very close proximity to the rear glass of your XC90, Thule does NOT recommend using the rear wiper once any rack is installed. It is very possible that using the wiper would contact either part of the rack or part of the bike, which would cause damage.

For the Prodigy RF # TK94FR two work the only functions that need to be active are the lighting circuits and the 12 volt circuit. The 12 volt circuit actually powers the RF so it must be installed. To make it active you will run the 12 volt circuit wire from the back of your new 7-Way connector, under the vehicle using about 20 feet of # 10-1-1 wire, and into the engine compartment near the battery *unless the vehicle battery is located elsewhere then you would run it to that location instead).

First, on the # 118411 wiring harness you installed on your 2005 Volvo XC90 check the 4-Way connector with a circuit tester like, like part # PTW2993, to make sure the 4-Way is working correctly. From the research I did it is possible that on your 2011 Volvo XC90, that the brake output pin located in the 5:00 position, if looking at the 7-Way, is actually connected to a dedicate brake light circuit. In order to install an aftermarket controller, you will need to follow these steps:
First, use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 if needed to verify that there is voltage on that pin when you step on the brakes. If not, then see below for the second installation method.

The brake controllers available now either are only on when they are activated, or a have a timed shut-off or idle state after a certain time period. Some of the older brake controllers never shut-off, but they did not drain battery power as the only component that would be on is a low amperage LED indicating that the controller has power or whether or not it was connected to a trailer.

It looks like that might be an issue simply do to the fact that the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs # TH898 installs on the front sloping portion of the roof, which it looks like that's where the antenna is.
However at least from what I can see, it looks the antenna is only on one side rather than down the middle, so you could still potentially get away with installing the Hullavator and using it on the opposite side of the antenna. This would really depend... view full answer...

A lot of the installation of Curt trailer hitch # C13233 on your 2016 Volvo XC90 revolves around getting the fascia out of the way to install the hitch. It isn't difficult just time-consuming. There is drilling that is needed, the instructions show the installer using a die grinder, but this is because a hole needs to be enlarged to 1 inch in order to get the hardware into the frame.

Most trailers do not utilize the reverse circuit. In this instance we did not hook up the reverse lights to the 7-way connector. You can easily tie the reverse lights into your 7-way connector. the yellow wire on the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires, part # ETBC7, will get tied into the reverse circuit on your vehicle. Your trailer lights should only have one wire if the light serves only one function (tail light, marker light, stop/turn). The white wire shown in the photo that you attached is a ground wire and will not be connected to the tail light or stop/turn circuits. The bulb attached to your light housing looks like an 1157 bulb, which is a dual filament bulb that has two contacts for two different circuits.

I'm not sure which answers exactly that you're referring to, but any time you use an adapter like the # HTAD, your tongue weight capacity is reduced by 50%. However, the MaxxTow Ball Mount # MT70066 does not have the same characteristics since it is a 1 piece ball mount and accessory receiver. From my research it looks like the first generation of the Volvo XC90 runs from 2002 - present (2014) with a minor facelift in 2007. The installation process is same as either the 2004 or 2007 for your 2006 Volvo.
The installation of this Curt # 13559 hitch does not require additional drilling, it does require minor fascia trimming. It is recommended to temporarily lower the exhaust and spare tire for installing this hitch. I would think that one helper would suffice.
