Will the Thule Hullavator Kayak Carrier Interfere With the Antenna On Newer GM Trucks

Question:

New GM trucks have satellite antennas mounted roof-top on the left. Will Kayaks carried on the roof, e.g. with Thule Hullavator, effect the satellite reception?

It looks like that might be an issue simply do to the fact that the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist w/ Tie-Downs # TH898 installs on the front sloping portion of the roof, which it looks like that's where the antenna is.

However at least from what I can see, it looks the antenna is only on one side rather than down the middle, so you could still potentially get away with installing the Hullavator and using it on the opposite side of the antenna. This would really depend on your kayaks as well as if they're too wide it still may interfere with the antenna.

Your best bet really is to use a ladder rack like the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack # Y01151-58 and throw your kayaks up on that.
